WTF Wednesday

We just returned it. We bought it through Kay's and figured out after the fact that we could have gotten the same quality ring for about $1000 less through almost any other jewelry store, so when the time comes that my FI has the CASH to buy me another one he will, but until then we are not buying anything we can't afford to pay cash for. The engagement ring was never that big of a deal to me anyways, the wedding ring, and actual marriage are. My parents have been married for 40 years this September and my mom has never gotten an engagement ring. We've just learned a valuable lesson about jobs and money in this economy.

My WTF is that is is ONLY Wednesday! I have been a day ahead all week!. I am so excited for a 3-day weekend! We havent' had once since MLK day in January! FI and I are headed out of town this weekend to the river (where we met) for a weekend on the boat, tanning and relaxing. Cant' wait! Also this daily post of WTF is by far my favorite day post! lol!

Having a pretty good week and looking forward to the weekend- no real WTF right now ( :

I have a lot of wedding things that I need to get on top of this weekend, but since it's a 3 day weekend I'm hopeful that I'll be able to get a lot done. And most importantly- I just figured out how to print my invitations at work like 2 seconds ago! I was complaining at lunch yesterday about how FI and I spent hours and hours over the weekend and then the inner envelopes just simply wouldn't work with the printer, and we were stuck since we already had the outer envelopes done in that font.  Well this other teacher suggested the printer at work and then today helped me set it up, so I'm about to waste my prep time doing that!

Okay maybe one small WTF is that people haven't RSVPd to my shower and my MOH is stressing about it. Including 2 of my BMs!- one is across the country so it's pretty clear she's not coming.  The other is 2 hours away and we picked this date because she said she'd be available since she just graduated, but she told me this weekend "I never told you I'd be free"... but hasn't officially replied to my MOH. She sucks. I mean, if you're going to flake out when you're a bridesmaid, don't make us track you down too.

LOL, my FI is leaving tomorrow morning and coming back Tuesday night!  Although, he is already getting fed-up with Vegas because the parties are so expensive and probably even more expensive since it will be MDW.

Ahh... My WTF is that I had an interview for a new job last thursday and she e-mailed me today and asked if I had time to talk on the phone this week. I wrote back and said of course, and she set up a time for tomorrow at 10. Now I have to sit around and wonder if its good news or bad news that she wants to talk about. I forsee it being a rather long night!!!

Great another WTF. I just spoke to my mom and what I thought from her repeatedly saying we'll see what we can do we'll make this happen in regards to my FI and I going on a honeymoon, is really her saying only if the wedding falls under this much, which we've already discussed a million times together that there's no way of it falling under that amount. So being all happy about after the hellish few months my FI and I have gone through being able to take a vacation and just escape for a week and regroup and relax is now me back in the pits and crying because I don't even have a vacation to look forward to now, and I can't get a refund on our plane tickets that my FI and I already paid for with his income tax return because we don't meet the insurance companies criteria of having worked for the same company for 3 years with a sudden layoff. GRRRRRR... I just want to scream. Why can't anything go right since we got engaged!?!?!?!

Tomorrow will be one week until our RSVP cards have to be back.  Out of 75 people invited we have gotten back less than 10.  I don't know about you, but I consider it rude to not send back a STAMPED envelope to let someone know if you will be attending their wedding or not.  We have gotten two from my family and eight from FI's family.  Apparently people have no idea where the post office is.  We needed our RSVP date a little earlier than what would be considered normal since we are going to be going down to the venue in mid June to get some things done. 

SEND BACK RSVP CARDS PEOPLE!!
