Alfred Angelo concerns....

Did anyone else order Alfred Angelo dresses for their BMs?

I ordered mine through a local shop in March.  She gave me an estimated arrival date of June.  I called today to follow up and now she's "estimating" mid-July?!  I advised her that she had told us June when we ordered...  She kinda glazed over that and said we would have plenty of time for alterations when they arrive.

She also stated Alfred Angelo has been backed up due to the prom line taking off this year.
Has anyone else experienced a delay, and were you given the same response?

I know my seamstress can have the alterations done in time, I'm more concerned if the dresses don't show, or show up wrong, we won't have time to fix the problem.

CN: Partial vent, has your Alfred Angelo delivery been delayed?

I got my BM dresses here and yes I kind of had the same issue but it worked out.  Have you seen the link to where you can check your status of the dresses online?  That helped me to see what was being done with them.  http://brides.alfredangelo.com/ to check you just need your customer number (on an receipt) and your wedding date.  But we order the end of February and was told they'd be in mid May.  Well mid May rolls around, no dresses.  So I kept calling, and had my FMIL calling to keep checking.  Eventually they gave me a tracking number so I could track the dresses.  I just got mine at the beginning of June, so I completely understand your stress.  Just keep calling, and what really helped me was seeing the order status.  If they show up wrong that is NOT your fault.  They'll fix it and i'd fight to where you didn't have to pay any for rush charges etc.  Hope this helps!

Mine told me the exact same thing last weekend!! I am getting a little nervous, my girls might be walking in unaltered dresses or something totally different all together! I got my dress from their too and it was a little late from what they originally told me but I got it, I hope they come in on time for both of us.

Alfred Angelo was increbily rude to me about possibly buying a dress from David's Bridal, so much so that I did not buy the dress I liked from there and instead bought the dress I loved at DB... thats my only experience with them...

I've only had good experiences with Alfred Angelo.  But I ordered my dress several years ago, and the local shop has been super with me about getting my bustle done.

I just noticed your from south jersey...what Alfred Angelo did you go to?


 I had the same problem!  They said oooooh it's backed up blah blah blah, my on BM got hers in begining of may and the others BMs not until 1st week of june...and my MOH still has not gotten hers...apprently it is because it is a different color than everyone elses according to the manager.  The store i went to is poorly run and people are rude.  When we went we had an appointment but apparently someone wrote the appointment down wrong on their side so they gave us a bunch of crap and then when we finally got a consultant she was nasty and rude. I havee 5 girls in my party we had been  there for maybe a half hr when the consultant asked me if i made a decision and I said no when have only been here for a half hr and she said well you only have 30 min left your appointment is only an 1 hr.  I was shocked I said well we'll need more time than that, and I was told we should make another appointment another day!  After explaining how my cousin drove from 2 states away and my other two girls drove a 2 hr drive they let us come back like 3 hrs later.  If it wasn't for the fact that there were dresses that fit everyones body size sooo good i would not have gone there.  But anyway I would just continue to call them every few days or so... I hope you get the dresses in soon!

I didn't go to an AA store, just a local shop that carries that brand... it's called Here Comes the Bride in Somers Point.  We tried to avoid going there for personal reasons, but it was ultimately the best priced salon.
So, all there is to do it wait!

My Alfred Angelo BM dresses took a really long time too. Ordered them in Oct, They told me 3 months. Right..they got them in May. My wedding isn't till August, so I wasn't too worried. But they def took a lot longer then I thought they were going too. They did however show up perfect! So i'm sure your fine!

oooh okayi've heard of that shop.  But at this point it seems to be a waiting game the 2 week mark past when they said my MOH's dress would be in still nothing... =(  Hope you get yours soon!
