Help - Engagement Photos Soon!

Taking my engagement photos next Saturday in Central Park.

Any tips / cool ideas?

I also need ideas on outfits, I'm going to go shopping soon but want to know what would look good. I wish I had a bright color jacket, but my peacoat is a light gray ... I'm thinking taking half my pics with the jacket closed up & half with the jacket open - might take some with no jacket but depends on how freezing it is outside LOL

Any ideas?

I haven't done engagement photos myself, and I think we are gonna opt out of that actually...

Our photographer actually told us to stay away from bright colors or crazy patterns. He loved my black dress and gray sweater, so all of our pics are with those. Not my bright pink shirt   lol, but I figured whatever he says would be good! Good Luck!! We had a lot of fun!

I would look on pinterest if you haven't already for some fun ideas for poses and props and what not! And just make sure to have fun and be yourselves. Those pictures turn out the best when you don't force yourself to look a certain way.

I would try to incorporate colors that help bring out your eye colors! patterns are not necessarily a bad thing if you coordinate your outfits together well. lets say you have a plaid shirt on with a plain sweater over the top and your fiance has a darker sweater or shirt on etc. you can have alot of fun with contrasting colors and what not that will add alot more depth to your photos. yes, alot of photographers suggest not wearing colors, but really these are your photos and if thats what your personality is, then go for it. Sometimes they dont really know what they are talking about!
