Granted, the invites went out a week ago and I have 26 of 119 (online rsvp). It's still exciting to see many 'yes' responses, though most were expected as they are bridal party members.
I can already tell I am going to be irritated by my parents, sister, FILs and FSILs at not thinking they have to RSVP because I *obviously* know they're coming. Let's hope they prove me wrong!
For those at their deadline, what has your overall acceptance rate been? 80%?
Re: 100% Yes with RSVPs...so far
I sent 87 invites out.
I am surprised we aren't getting more rsvps! but with the holiday maybe people havent been around.
Actually some of my closest friends i know ARE coming havent sent in their rsvp yet!

[QUOTE]My RSVP date was June 27th. 23% acceptance rate for me. We had sent out 92 invites. Yeah. Oh well. I wish I had known that 9 months ago when I started planning. It would have saved me a lot more money.

Oh no! that is a very high rate for "no's." Do you know why so many are unable to attend?

Yep. It was destination (we moved from East Coast to the West Coast). We chose to have it here on the West Coast, because this is where we decided to start our new lives. We wanted to share a new way of living with our families. Most of them weren't really interested. We even gave detailed information about hotels and rates (10 months in advance!) and the best times to buy, and even offered incentives such as our paying for an activity or two of their choice when they came. They weren't interested.
I'm more disturbed that my fiance has exactly one family member coming.
People priorities are different. And the people we grew up with are not interested in anything outside their bubble.
So far we have 106 confirmed. My grandmother is being difficult because she is angry that the calligrapher spelled her name with a K instead of a C by accident.
Our deadline was June 30th.

As far as RSVPs from siblings, parents, FILs, grandparents - if you KNOW they're coming, then I wouldn't stress about whether they mail in the RSVP or not. My grandparents haven't, and FI's sisters and Mom and Dad haven't, but I know they're all coming so I just don't care.
