What's Left??

Hi Ladies!!

I know we are all getting VERY close and I was just wondering what everyone is working on at this time?? All the Big Big things are done and Invites are all out or about to be, now it's just the Smaller things and details that are left. What are some things we could compare? The knot's checklist is very helpful but is there anything that is not on there that we should be working on that you have thought of??

Me personally I am working on my center pieces, Vows, seating chart, ceremony music and things like that. The smaller details are turning out to be the hardest for me to figure out, becuase their are so many options!

I'm working on the decorations really at this point.  My main focus this week is printing out engagement pics, and older pics of our relationship to display as guests walk in and throughout the venue.  Its kinda fun going back and remembering how far we've come...(as tears start to well up as i'm typing this) LOL!  I'm also trying to figure out exactly how to assemble my favors since we are DIYing it!  And lastly, i'm working on making my bridal party's shirts!  So I think you are on the right track, now its those little touches that are being worked on!

I am 8/25 and current tasks this week are scheduling hair appointments for bridal party, working on day of timeline (very detailed), finalizing readings (FI is writing some), asking ushers (FI's nieces via FB), just sent eVite for rehearsal yesterday, making practice cake and keeping detailed notes of quantities used, continuing to get all music on playlist and assemble (DIY music), getting quotes for mics, figuring out details for bachelorette party to send out invites, start looking into booking some hotels for HM, yet another pair of shoes I ordered are arriving in the mail this week – hopefully THE pair, just found out a friend will do my make-up and will arrange a practice date in the coming week with her, also continuing to scan/find pictures for our slideshow.

Left: Buy flowers, rose petals for tables (should be done this week), shoes for my sons, MOH needs to get her dress, I need to purchase some of the pop and chips but I may wait until closer to the 4th of July to do that. I need to return my son's shirt and the table covers I bought and purchase new ones. Make a final decision about where we are getting the food and cake. Oh and making wedding favors.

This month I have uploaded music to the laptop for the wedding/picnic, with a slide show of pictures of us to run during. I wrote the wedding ceremony since my future BIL is going to marry us. I bought my dress, shoes, accessories. The grooms shirt and shoes and attire for my kids. I bought the centerpieces and bows.

I have yet to do: center pieces (just gotta add the ribbon to them), corsages for the God Mothers, music / playlists, we meet with our deacon on the 24th so we'll finalize some ceremony details at that time... gotta finish up the prop holders and the cupcake holder. Lots to do!

um, really I think all I have left to do is get dress final fit, then pressed/dry-cleaned, discuss music with DJ, discuss music with pianist and slide show.  My future in laws took over center pieces and the rehearsal.

I have to go through the generic ceremony the officiant does and edit it to better suit us and pick a reading for FI's sister.

Figure out ceremony music.

FI has to buy his ring.

Otherwise it is alot of little things like making pretty table numbers and putting ribbon ont he favors. 

I think I have another meeting with the venue soon and I know I have to meet with all the other vendors to go over day of details.

Trying to narrow down what the solist is going to sing and the centerpieces. Trying to rush the FI along to get him and my son fitted for a tux!!!

Aug 18th and I'm just down to a couple things.  Programs, dress fitting, escort cards and putting the last of the labels on the water bottles  I think that's it.

My to do list looks pretty similar to this. I'm sending invites out this week, so that will be a big check done.

After going through my list and the other responses here, I still have a lot to do!

-decide on cake design
-decide on hair style
-work on table images (instead of #s)
-name cards
-finish centerpieces
-finish card box
-finish favors (ribbon and magnets)
-make list of shots for photographer
-write vows
-compile music list
- table activities (not necessary, but if I have time)
-decide on readings
-make bouquets
-make programs
-decide on what flower girl will hold
-decide on what ring bearer will hold
-make picture board for reception (if there's time)
-decide on jewelry/accessories (for myself and BMs)
-find gifts for BP
-make rehearsal meal plans (guest list and location)
-obtain marriage license

That's everything I can think of for now, besides whatever is on the TK list.

EDIT: the guest book! I forgot about that. Adding that to all my to-do lists!

To Do List: Finish favors (DIY jelly/jam), escort cards, dressing alterations, vows, officiant (BIL) script, ceremony music, first dance song, Play and Do-Not Play lists, seating chart, ceremony decor, ring bearer pillow, hair/makeup trial, marriage license, table numbers, bridal party gifts, parents gifts, urg probably much more AND I am trying to study for my licensure exam in July!!

2 more months to get this all done!!
