B&M Monday

I don't have much except for that it's early and today will be full of not-so-fun meetings.
I just want to go back to sleep.

Re: B&M Monday

  • I second that option of returning to bed... but for me it's gonna be another CRAZY day!!

  • Had in-law drama over the weekend (see Sunday Chit Chat if interested). I always heard people talk about it and thought Who would ever be crazy enough to try and manipulate someone getting married???
    Um NVM I see now.
At least FI and I completely agree on everything and there's no discourse between us. That's all that really matters. :)
  • I.am.exhausted.
  • H went home late last night.  This was one of the best weekends of my life.  =)

No complaints except it is a bank holiday and I have checks to deposit.  I might just mail them to my mom... she's more likely to get to a bank before I would this week.

  • Oh, here's one: Y'all heard about the cruise ship that ran aground and listed, yeah?  I can't believe the stories of disorganization coming from that.  And there was one that the captain abandoned ship before all the passengers were evacuated.  How crazy.

  • I know! There was a couple from Austin (I think) on the ship, but they got out ok. I read about it on WFAA.
  • My morning had been filled with fiance high on benadryl, puppy vomit and me losing my insurance card when I called to schedule a doctor appt.

I want my bed back, too.

I haven't read any of this because we're going on a cruise this June/July and I really don't want to freak myself out.  However, Disney wouldn't let us out of the mandatory safety drill until every person was down on the decks.  We waited 45 minutes for the drunk father of the bride and father of the groom to show up.
  • I spent the weekend in prison conditions, and paid quite a bit of money to do so. But luckily it's over and I got to sleep in a real bed last night.

Prof- I also am sad it is a bank holiday, we get our paychecks today and I need to deposit mine so I can make my car payment!

<div>Well, the good news is it's a cruiseline I'd never heard of, so I don't think you have to worry.  That was one of the problems -- some people said they didn't have an evacuation drill until a couple days into the trip, and then when the ship ran aground, they waited for a really long time to sound the abandon ship alarm.</div>

I'm sure I don't but I'm going to bury my head in the sand on this one nonetheless.
  • Not really a B&M, but I met with Becky Saturday. My dress right now is back to fitting perfectly, whereas is wouldn't zip up in late November when I did my bridals. She told me not to do anything too drastic within the next month, so now I have to conince my trainer not to be too hard on me :)

She was so so so sweet, but I am sad I don't really get to "use" her. She did do a kick butt job on letting my MOHs dress out, which David's Bridal was making it sound like would be the biggest hassle in the world.

Any other BOA customers have a random $12 monthly maintenance fee show up on their account?? I've had an account there for 8 years and have never had any sort of account fee, and now this has shown up 2 months in a row.

Preparing the process to switch banks because if this is their new "way to make money" they're making more than twice as much as they would have by charging the $5 debit card fee!

Going back to the joint checking thread I started the other day, I think I am going with Viewpoint for my new checking and probably our joint checking as well.

Chase did that a while back, if accounts were below a certain amount on average each month. I haven't seen it in a while, which is surprising considering that's my wedding account and it's always at a low balance when I pay off each thing. They at least had the courtesy to send a letter 2 months prior to that beginning though.

<div>See that's why it's so weird, I've actually got about twice as much in there on average as I used to, and last month it just started showing up, no warning. So now I'm currently conducting an in-depth comparison of Viewpoint and Ally. My boss (a veteran) also said I should call USAA and see if I can get an account with them even though I don't have any family members in the military.</div>

  • I think USAA is exclusively for military members and their families.  I *think* I looked into an account there awhile back and it was a no-go, but I may be thinking of another federal banking company.  Hey, it never hurts to ask anyway!

My B&M is that I am so stinkin' tired today!  No clue why.  I think I'm just having a mental block about FI being home cozied up in bed while I'm here at work.

The following is just one example (my grandmother) for one photo album I just uploaded from Christmas that had 270 + pictures. My phone has now been changed to silent for the next day while she goes on her redundant/inappropriate liking spree..

I suppose I found it cute the first couple of times, in that "Oh, my grandmother is on facebook even though she still doesn't know how to work email" sort of way. However, I am having a difficult time understanding  the 243 notifications I have received today. I get it. You like the pictures. Point made. <div>
