NWR: Valentines Idea

The first V day we spent together was 2008 and he made dinner.  It was special because he made the same dinner I made him for the first time nearly 8 months earlier.  

2009 - He had to work, and I went to the wedding of some friends down in Austin.

2010 - I can't even remember what we did.  Maybe made dinner at home?

I think we'll be making dinner at home this year, unless he has class in which case we would do it the weekend before.

Last year we got dressed up and went to the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. The year before that we got a room at the Hilton Anatole (very bad service!) and ate at Fuddruckers LOL. FI was actually kind of sad because he was planning on taking me to his grandmother's rental house on the lake in Rockwall and doing a picnic in front of the fireplace & I didn't know his plans and booked the hotel room. The year before that was our first v-day and we had dinner at the Mansion on Turtle Creek. It was way too expensive but I had never had a nice valentine's so he wanted to make it special.

I don't know if we're going to do anything this year because he works the weekend before & the day of 4pm-midnight.

I usually don't celebrate V-day. I tell my FI not to do anything for me or get anything for me but he still does. I'm like the guys and he is the the girl... If I don't do anything for him he would get upset but I wouldn't mind not getting anything. He did have flowers, a cute bear and balloons sent to the house last year. I actually loved it. I think he did something else but I can't remember.
This year we are going to Cirque Du Soleil but it's not for a V-day celebration. Although, I could tell him it is so he won't get upset!

I am thinking of using our 2 night stay at the Joule for the weekend before V day (I better get on that).

We have had a lot of memorable Valentine's together, but the first one was the best. He gave me the most beautiful arrangement of flowers that his dad actually arranged and we went out to our fav Friday's, which is now closed. He always does an excellent job of getting me gorgeous flowers.
