    From my post:

    Dear DFW Knotties -

    Forward motion.

    - Leslie who isn't around a lot anymore because she is working too hard, but thinks this might be a good idea.

    Dear Julie -

I am posting this right now, you probably are too. :)

    - Knottie who is generally on the same Tuesday wavelength

It looks like it should have been Dear Brianna! :)

    Dear "friends"-
It's really a shame that you can't take 5 flippin minutes out of your day for someone else.  That's okay because I'm not putting forth anymore effort to go to your things.

    Dear MIL-
Can't even send an actual card this year can you?  An e-card, huh?  I'm looking forward to seeing what you send DH because if it's an actual card, well this just looks bad on you and only hurts your relationship with your son.

How hard is it to get me a list of songs you CAN play... then you ask me to give you a list of what I wanted and then you tell me you can't do what I want... um... how about give me what you CAN do so we can work it out?  Maybe I'd be okay with what you were able to do...

    Dear Bill's Aunt,
Thank you for sending me the lovely birthday card with the note.  I am so thankful that at least one person from Bill's family cares enough to send a birthday card to me.

    Dear Shortgirl,
I have been in Bill's life since 2007 although we didn't get engaged until after my birthday in 2008.  Last year, I didn't even get an e-card so you are one up on me.  And I probably shouldn't feel too bad:  they can barely take the time to send Bill a card for his birthday and haven't sent him a present since just after we started dating.

    Dear Papers,
You are all graded so please enter yourself into the computer.

    Dear Everyone,
If I knew you better, then I would think about voting for you in a contest.  However, I don't really know who you are so please don't ask me to help you win a weekend at the Joule.

Oh, I know I get more than some people.  Last year it was a card with "sincerely", this year it was "from".  I knew I shouldn't have expected much from her but it makes me feel SO much better that we sent her a card and she can't even do the same.  However my theory was that I would not get one until she got hers, so part of me wonders if I will get one but just post marked today because she should have gotten hers yesterday.  OK I'm insane and thinking about this wayyy too much.  The e-card is about as much acknowledgement as I will get from his side.  How hard is it to buy and send a dang card?  Oh yeah I forgot we are at the very bottom of her priority list.  She stopped with the presents after we got engaged after we pissed her off by allowing my family to stay at our house as well, oh what a crime.  I don't plan on mentioning anything to DH but I do wonder if she copied him and I feel much better about him checking the mail because he will be the one to notice the lack of and it will make him mad.  It sounds like I care but I mostly don't, I would have rather not gotten anything than to see not only her name in my inbox but how did she get this address?   Not everyone has it.  I just know DH will not be happy, which is why she only ends up hurting him, not me.  Holy wall of text Batman.

ETA: I also do find it funny that as my first birthday as a DIL, this is what I get.  His family talks about how everything has to be normal between everyone even when times are tough.  And this is far from normal.  I'm being a bit snarky about this, I know.  It's a card and it's ONE birthday.

You are WAY more dedicated than I am. I made FI go by himself. The only person I will wait in line for 5 hours for would be Dave Matthews. LOL.

    Dear former best friend,
It's fairly ironic that you wrote my FI a long email about how you would hunt him down and decapitate him if he ever broke my heart. As it turns out, he has replaced you as my BF, and he is angry enough to write you a lengthy letter about how your consistently selfish actions have effected me. If I do not receive any communication from you within the next week, you will receive a piece of my mind. It is NOT okay to drive through Dallas twice and not call me when you live 5 hours away. If you don't plan on stopping anyway, then don't even tell me that you're driving through. If you can't do that, then you probably cannot be trusted to be a bridesmaid. If you can't understand that, then you weren't the friend I thought you were to begin with.

I understand your pain.  We house hunted a year ago and I got so upset and frustrated by the search that we ended up renewing a lease in our apartment for another year... and we renewed again in July.  I just don't think I can handle it.

    Dear Brianna and Tiffany,
I can also empathize.  We're not buying a house, but we are looking for one to rent (yes, I know it's not the same).  We either find houses that are stuck in the 1970s or houses in crappy locations.  It's pretty frustrating, so I can imagine your feelings toward actually purchasing the house.

I have to say that the big backyard is one of the best things about our house.  We are getting step-daughter a trampoline for Christmas and there is still plenty of room for our deck and 2 dogs to run around and play.  Our house is a little older and needed some TLC but we are making it our own.  The backyard is what DH said sold him on the house right away.

We found a nice house to rent in Frisco.  It was only $50 a month more than what we were paying for our apartment in downtown Plano.  We were very lucky to find this house because most of the houses we looked at that were in our price range were not so great.

    Dear Knotties:
I found out on last week that my ankle is still really really broken! I have to go in for another inpatient surgery on Wednesday to get another bone graft, and I'm going to have to stay there until at least Friday! It makes me sad that I won't be able to make it to the G2G! I was really looking forward to it. Anyone want to stop by Baylor in Dallas afterwards and visit me?? :)
Oh and also, I'm going to be stuck in a wheelchair for another 3 months, so I had to quit my new part time job. This just sucks all around. I'm hoping I'll be ok for the wedding. :(
