Workout Accountability: Wednesday

Morning everyone! I just started to title this post 'Friday' - if only.

Eating and working out went as planned yesterday.  Today is legs, back, and abs, and healthy eating again.

  • Food went ok until dinner but I knew I was going to indulge. Went to my favorite BBQ place in NY - Dinosaurs had salt potatoes, ribs and a little chicken. I did avoid the corn muffin instead I went for a beer. I got up and went for an upper body workout. 1 more week to tone!

    Today I feel much more motivated. yesterdays dentist trip gave me a nasty headache from the freezing that was used and I have to go back today but I wont need any freezing so I plan on taking in a spin class after.

    Happy to say my lack of working out (thankfully) has not resulted in weight gain but I dont want to push my luck.

  • Good morning!  Eating went pretty well yesterday calorie-wise, not healthy-wise.  I got a good workout on th treadmill and with weights last night so that was good.  Although the scale went up so I am not where I want to be really.

  • @Dawn I love Dinosaur!! There's one downtown here. I wish I could eat there more but I'm too tempted to get super unhealthy things.

    I ran this morning. Feeling a little dehydrated so I feel like the run was not so good. I weighed myself at the new gym I will be going to near FI's house when I move next weekend and according to that gym scale I gained a pound ugh. But it was a digitial scale, I don't like that for a gym. I decided to weigh myself on the bathroom scale we just got at FI's house, I've never used it before and according to that scale, I lost a pound. So which is it! I'm going to weigh myself at my usual gym tomorrow and see what it says. I'm running out of time to lose so I hope I haven't gained.

  • Good morning!

    Yesteday was a fail for me.

    I went on a walk with co-workers in the afternoon and I did manage to get in 10,000 steps for the day...but I wasn't able to make it to the gym. FI was carrying something heavy and accidentally dropped it on the back windshield of his car and the windshield SHATTERED, so we spent the night calling around trying to find a glass place that was still open to get quotes and stuff (he's a delivery driver and can't drive until it's fixed).

    It was not the most fun ever. 

    Tonight is a gym night, I'm going to try to make it to the Body Combat class so I can get some good cardio in. It'd be nice if I could make up for the no weightlifting yesterday as well.

  • Seriously, I wish it were actually Friday.  Last night I did a workout video which I'm not always a fan of because I always feel like I don't get a good enough workout.  Well, let me tell you that I got an AMAZING workout with a BodyRock video.  After just shy of 20 minutes I was pooped.  Food was pretty decent so I can't really complain.  Tonight I might switch it up and go for a short run.

    Back on the horse now!  Yesterday, while I didn't get up in time to 30DS, I did make it to the weight class in the evening and killed it.  My abs are feeling it today, but in a good way! :)  Eating yesterday wasn't stellar, the stress of waiting for my dad's dr's office call drove me to eat 4 molasses cookies that were in the building at work.  And then two brownies when I got home. But I'm not going beat myself up about those tasty treats, just acknowledging and moving on.  

    This morning was the end of week 2 of level 2 30DS.  I'm worried about what the next level will be ... ouchie!  But I do love it, I can feel myself getting so much stronger from these videos! :)  YAY Jillian!

  • Well the last few days have been no exercise and wayyyyy off the charts with eating.  My cousin (BM) was home and that was just junk food and take out wherever we went.  So much so this morning when I got up to return to work and have breakfast, I couldn't eat my measly 1/2 cup of cheerios and milk.  Still stuffed!  Also had my stagette on Saturday so no doubt all night of drinks and nachos threw me off the bandwagon.  BACK ON IT!

    starting with my Oikos key lime Greek yogurt...have you tried this???  Freaking amazing

  • @Maribeth - do you live in the city or Syracuse?   I used to go to the Syracuse one when I lived in the area which is why I dragged my coworkers to Harlem for dinner last night.   It was like a little taste of home. 

    @Lobsters - I love the fried green tomatoes there and the Syracuse salt potatoes.  The ribs are probably my favorite of the meat dishes.    Plan on not making healthy choices if you go there but it is worth it!

  • Good Morning Ladies!

    My weigh in was this morning and I lost 2 pounds!
     This month I have lost 7.5 pounds and feel awesome.  I am pretty proud of myself. 28.50 down and 22.50 more pounds to go! I think cleaning might be my workout for the day – it’s pretty awful.

  • Yesterday was going really good all day until dinner, I had done insanity and eaten well all day. DInner time came and was running super late to my night class and ended up gettig mcdonalds which I hadnt had in like over 6 months. I only got a kids meal so the overall calories weren't awful but feel more sluggish today from it :/.

    I need to be extra good the rest of the week since going to a Brad Paisley concert and I know I will be having quite a few drinks that night.

  • Morning ladies! Hope hump day treats you all well.

    Feeling good this morning, last night I was supposed to do a 2.5 mile run, but stretched it a teeny bit farther and did 2.85 miles. Didn't quite time it right though because the sun set earlier than I thought it would and I had to run the last 7-8 minutes in the dark, which always feels spooky to me. Will be more on top of that next time.

    Today is 30 minutes of cross training, and for me that's going to be walking. I would usually bike, but my dad headed up to the campsite yesterday and took our bikes with him since our car can't fit a bike rack easily... so no bike for me :( not until Saturday at least!

    Eating will remain on track. I marinated some chicken overnight in an asian marinade from skinnytaste.com so I'm pretty stoked to bbq that up this morning and take it to work for lunch! The rest will be cut up for sandwiches for our 8 hour road trip on Saturday! Woot!

  • Hi Ladies!

    Yesterday I ended up walking with the pup after work and did my ballet sculpt dvd and weights. I had a whole wheat english muffin with peanut butter and a banana for dinner. Nothing too balanced, but whatever it was a free for all night at our house haha.

    Today is my birthday so dinner is salmon and steak with veggies. I walked this morning before work because it was so beautiful outside. My goal was to get some exercise in so if there is a cake option, I wont feel guilty having a piece :)

  • KW- I'm so sorry to hear that you have been going through all of that this month. I am a very firm believe that everything happens for a reason though, we are meant to learn all the lessons thrown at us. Thoughts are with you, and through it all, congratulations on making your goal weight and staying healthy!
  • kw, don't feel bad about that at all.  it's what we're here for!  plus, i've missed seeing your snuggly dog pic around here - it always makes me want to go straight home and play with my four legged monster :)

  • @kw - so sorry to hear about all that but it's sooo amazing that you still managed to real your goal weight! be proud of yourself! :)

    I worked out TWICE yesterday (goooo me!) doing 20 minutes worth of 10 minute trainer in the AM and 30 minutes on the elliptical in the PM. this morning i only did another 20 minutes of 10 min trainer bc i didn't have time for the last one. i'll have to do it when i get home tonight.

    tomorrow my team at work is going out to a mexican restaurant for lunch. it's too small of a chain so the calories for meals aren't available online. i'm going to have to be SUPER careful!

    Bahaha, thanks for the mental image.  It would take my dog too much to stop watching tv to bother running.  She isn't really overweight, but it feels like I'm raised an obese three year old child with a video game addiction and penchant for temper tantrums.  FI tried to take her out to go to the bathroom before bed last night, and even though she had to go, she decided she'd rather just go hide in our bed (less effort than stairs, you know.)

    Me: Stayed on track yesterday with eating.  I start working out today.  I have a mtg at 5 w/ my personal trainer then I have an hour of Zumba followed by I think an hour of yoga.  Someone said they do it and it makes her feel 1000xbetter.  I am excited to try these Access bars that are supposed to give energy and help burn more fat (who knows if they work but they were free).  Sooooo wish me luck!

  • Thanks Everyone! It is amazing how what we eat and how we work out can be influenced by various situations in life.  So congrats to everyone that can overcome this huge obstacle and continue to be healthy!    Weight Loss Pet Peeve of the Day ~ People talking about how fat and gross they feel, but they don’t try to do anything about it!
