  • Helleb, you could do veggie cupcakes. Just google vegetable bread recipes and find one that looks good. I've used this one before but I think used something else in place of the pumpkin. http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipedetail.asp?recipe44844
  • helleb - I have a few ways

    1. have FI pace me (he can just do it naturally, it's weird)
    2. pay attention to the desired speed on the treadmill (really, I silence my music, and just pay attention to how wide my stride is, and how fast my legs and arms are moving), and try to recapture that when running outside
    3. measure out the path you want to run ahead of time (mapmyrun.com) and give yourself time checkpoints of where you should be at what point, so you can slow down or speed up accordingly

    None are really guaranteed (minus the last one I suppose), but they all really help me slow myself down when outdoors.
