    Ditto Cowboy Cassanova, well said.

Stephie - we put everything on our AMEX rewards card and got hundreds back in American Express gift cards..... like probably at least $500.  We paid it all off in every month from our wedding fund.    I agree with the principle though... don't open one just to charge your wedding on.

I want to flame everyone for complaining about the weather so much, and for complaining about being at home.

We rarely ever get this kind of weather here in Texas-take some time and just enjoy it. We will have the warm weather back soon enough.

Secondly, it annoys me at everyone complaining about being home. Be thankful you have a job where you CAN stay home from work. Do you know how many professions don't have that option? Do you know how many people have jobs where they don't have the choice but to drive in this awful weather? Be thankful you don't have to be out in it, and stop your b*tching.

    The end.

[QUOTE]I saw a Knot top 20 article yesterday about planning.  I was going to post it until I saw Tip #4 advised getting a credit card that has some sort of rewards program--since you'll spending so much money you might as well get something out of since, of course, you'll be putting it all on your credit card right? Nuts.

    Here's the rest of it:

Our mod says goodbye to our board:

The E girls celebrate because supposedly she created a call out site that hurt a lot of feelings (a lot of it has been deleted because someone reported it? but you can get the gist of it) & an Oct 11 girl barged it & tried to defend our mod while calling all the E girls heartless bitches:

Then that same girl brought it to our board by starting a thread saying she hoped they all woke up with bad hair & zits (great line LOL) & the E girls responded:

Then Oct 11 girls ask everyone to please stop with the drama:

& we thought that ended it all, until the former mod started that thread that I originally posted:

    Whew, that's a lot.

Marie- I have not seen them, I'll have to go look for them. Thanks! Laughing

    Re: credit cards

I opened up an American Express card for that purpose and we've already accumulated enough for a free flight to Costa Rica for our honeymoon & we're halfway to our second free ticket. It's a charge card though, so I HAVE to pay it off every month. I knew if I got an actual credit card for that purpose I would get in trouble.
    It does work though!

I am annoyed with this weather only because this is an every year thing for me having just moved but I am thankful that this is not the norm I will have to deal with anymore.  I also wish I had a job where I could stay home, how can I expect my team to come in to serve our patients if I dont.  I have never worked in a profession that allowed me to stay home without feeling guilty (my own guilt not the business).

Yep. To paraphrase (is it true that we aren't allowed to copy & paste?) I can't be rude to her because she still has quick connections to KA.

I didn't think I was that rude though.

Julie- As I was reading a news article about the snow this morning, someone commented: "I have finally figured out why we are getting slammed with all this snow, ice, and cold weather. Jerry Jones thought he was greater than God and now God is teaching him a lesson! Repent Jerry! Repent!"    LOL.

Putting wedding expenses on a credit card is a smart idea, if used wisely of course.  The extras you earn and having a credit card company on your side if something does go wrong is priceless.

The only reason I flame the weather will be because of our gas bill.  Other than that, I am trying to enjoy the time off while I can.

Oh ITA it CAN be a good idea and if the card is used correctly.  It just seemed to me that the article was suggesting you go out and get one just so you can have money for your wedding and that is what I took issue with.

I actually had Ben try and drive me to work today.  We got as far as our first exit and turned around.  I do feel some guilt but I live 20 miles away and am allowed to take my personal days.  My one boss is on his HM and the other lives further east than I do so he understands.

    Angela,
I'm going to read some of that mess and, if I get a headache, I'll blame that on Jerry Jones too.

I didn't think this Super Bowl business was that great of a thing as it was.  I already hate Texas/OU weekend and that's not nearly as big.  Last year with the NBA All-Star game it was bad enough and now all the Super Bowl crap plus this weather?

    Natalie,
All the griping about things being closed got to me too.  Just get over it.  Obviously the people who work there can't get in!  Move on.

I flame all the people who got to stay home today.....my bank was open as they have been every day this week, because heaven forbid someone desperately need to make a deposit today

I flame the man that was driving way to fast in his F250 King Ranch this morning and rear ended me because his douche bag self thinks the rules of driving dont apply to him and that you can speed and slam on your breaks at a red light and still stop in time, and not my head/shoulders/neck/and back are killing me!

I lastly flame my fiance for falling asleep without talking to me for the last three nights....he is really starting to piss me off
