Good morning, Friday is almost here!
I lifted last night and did the elliptical, but I felt pretty lethargic during my whole workout. I don't know why I'm so tired this week, but I'm glad I got through it. Tonight will be a quick 3 mile run and then FI and I are meeting some friends for dinner.
How about everyone else?
Re: Workout Accountability: Thursday
I did yoga this morning and have a 6-8 mile run with a group after work. I'd like to hit up a spin class tomorrow morning but I'm supposed to run 17 miles Saturday so I may take tomorrow off... hmmm...
Keep up the great work ladies!!
[QUOTE]Spin class this morning! Today was "race day." It was really intense. A lot of women in the class weren't able to do the whole hour but I am proud to say I made it through!! No work outs tomorrow as I will be staying at FI's and he doesn't live near my gym. My best friend/MOH's birthday is Saturday and superbowl is Sunday so I need to get in both days this weekend since I'm sure it will be a total calorie fest Sat & Sun. Keep up the great work ladies!!

This is awesome! What an accomplishment... congrats :)

Way to go Maribeth! I was just thinking about super bowl Sunday too, and how I should get in some good workouts this weekend to prepare for that snack fest.
Pburke, If you're sick, try and take it easy. I was so sick right after Thanksgiving, and FI made me rest for three days (I took off work and everything) before I could do any working out. It was awful doing nothing, but it was the best thing for my body to rest instead of pushing it while I felt sick. Hope you feel better soon!
I just finished Insanity Pure Cardio. Hardest workout I've ever done in my life. My HR was around 180 the whole time. I actually paused it in the middle to walk on the treadmill for about 5 minutes and get my HR down for a bit.
38 minutes including warm up, stretching, and cool down. It's about 25 minutes total excluding the stretching (the warm up is a work out in itself) and my HR monitor said 480 calories burned.
Oh, and a word to the wise that are considering Insanity? Invest in a pair of cross trainers. There's a lot of lateral movement and my arches are so sore from stabilizing that in my running shoes. Definitely going to get a pair of CTs this weekend.
Everything the light touches is my kingdom.
hey everyone! Zumba and Body Pump classes this morning.
Pburke - I am going to try to do the fab ab Feb as well!

Congrats!! How do you feel?
I've been lurking this board for a while now. I've made a few random posts here and there but I'm loving this accountability post idea!
This morning I went to a Zumba class and then I worked with a personal trainer and did some strength stuff. I was dreading it today since it was my 2nd session. The first one was a killer and I basically crawled up and down the stairs for a few days afterwards. Today was 10x better. It goes to show I need to keep up with it to be feeling great!
I've also been reading about C25K. I've never been a runner nor do I like running but I might have to give it a try since everyone has great things to say about it.
Warm up row 5 min at 2:10 per 500m Pace
Then
All of the above at the maximum weight possible for two reps... I'm targetting 155# front squat, 93# shoulder press, and 235# deadlift.
Then rest 5 min
Every Minute of the Minute for 10 min
Then rest 5 min
Then 5 Mins as many rounds as possible, with each round of:
Finally cool down row 5 min at 2:10 per 500m Pace
I then did Week One of Ripped in 30 (day two). I held the plank for the entire 30 seconds. Woo hoo! I really need to get a heart rate monitor as I felt my pulse pounding by the end.
Good job on your Thursday and have a happy Friday!! I am taking tomorrow off---FI's birthday day dinner with FMIL. More like FML. Wish me luck!
Pumped up the incline and made it 30 minutes on the treadmill.
