How do you feel about body wraps?

Im going to get one at the spa to see if it actually helps with cellulite, not necessarily losing weight. Did anyone have this and had good results. Im sure its temporary but if I could have a nice look for just one day of the wedding then that would be great.

Im currently on a diet and exercising 3 times a week

My gf gets them as a stress relief thing.  She loves them and she tells me they help her have a little less "jiggle" in her problem areas right after the wrap.

Never tried them myself but I have been curious to try them out too.  Can't hurt right?

Thank you.  i had braced myself opening this post.  Usually people want advice on them as a miracle fix and it's nice to see someone with a level-headed approach.

You're totally right.  They are not permanent.  They really are just dehydrating a bunch of your cells to lose inches which then fill back up with water in a few days.  So totally not a weight loss or long-term fix for anything.  

That being said, I love them.  Not the crappy DIY ones but the legit ones at a spa.  I love the spa experience I get with them, I love how great my skin feels and looks afterwards(tighter), and I love that they really do temporarily work.  They're great for smoothing out problem areas and causing water retention to redistribute.  The effect lasts for 3-5 days, is pricy unless you find a Groupon, and is only temporary but i've found it well worth it prior to special events when i've wanted a little extra boost towards looking my best.

I've never had one, but now I'm curious.  What does it feel like, how long does it take, and is there any sort of 'recovery' time needed (like after a facial -my skin gets all red for at least two days after those?)  Are you super dehydrated for the rest of the day?

Exactly.........Im using a groupon for it otherwise I would have waited. I figure what could it hurt since its only costing me $30.If it turns out good I will use again before my wedding. I believe it just takes away the water weight lol but I will see.

I have had the skinny wrap things done a couple times... Not to become skinny, but, like Anna mentioned, I LOOOOVE the feel of my skin after one.

I kinda think it's a waste of money, honestly... but they feel so goooood ) haha

It was just a wrap over the body. it was not about sweating things out at all. </div><div>For mine, there was no recovery time (well.. ok.. Thanks firsttimers.  It just sounds interesting and I'd love my skin to be that way for the wedding.  Thinking I might want to treat myself to one before the RD.  The spa near our site offers both heat and non.
