Slim Fast/Calorie Counting

Slim Fast really does work. It's definitely one of the oldest weight loss methods, but it's efficient and effective.

I do one shake in the morning for breakfast, a light snack (an orange/grapefruit/grapes/banana/veggies and dip...something like that), a salad (I typically use tuna/albacore, egg, along with lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, etc and a light dressing), another snack, and sometimes another shake later in the evening. If you couple this with at least 30 mins of cardio everyday, you will see results in the first two weeks. I'm already down 10 pounds and I still give myself cheat days every week. I still go out and have drinks with my friends, too. It's all about variation and getting proper rest; that's what helps boost your metabolism.

Re: Slim Fast/Calorie Counting

  • I use to drink slim fast shakes for the protein after strength training, they were good. But once they got recalled I stopped drinking them...

    Congrats on your weight loss!
  • I drink Slimfast in the morning, sometimes at lunch and then have fish or chicken with steamed veggies for dinner. And do 30 minutes of eliptical training at night time.
  • BUUUUTTTT, what happens when you decided to stop drinking your meals and go back to normal food?

Yes, calorie counting is a great way to learn how to eat properly, but meal replacement shakes (especially low calories ones like Slim Fast) aren't necessarily sustainable.

If you're learning more about potion control and whatnot, then hey, that part is good, but SlimFast is neither a real "quick fix" nor sustainable for life.
