This is appropriate for a wedding on Saturday? New Question

I will be a guest at a wedding on Saturday in southwest Louisiana... this is appropriate, right? Now I'm worried it looks to stuffy, wintery, or dark.. I will likely wear black slingback peeptoes. I have red shoes, but afraid they would be too much of a statement.

I think that is adorable but since it is spring I would put some sort of pop of color with it.  Either a bright bag, shoe or piece of jewelry.

Ditto, Bobbileigh.  Also, I don't think it's dark or wintry looking at all.

    I think it's cute!

What are the colors of the wedding?  Can you tell by the invitation?  I noticed... after volunteering for the wedding ministry at church and attending so many weddings, the guests will typically complement the color of the wedding.  It's not 100% but a good amount of them will dress that way.  So if it was a black/white or black/colored wedding it would work, but black and white work for almost anything.  JMO

    Thanks, ladies!

Forgot to mention, too, that it is outdoors.

Yeah, just thought to ask FI what he was wearing and it's dressed way down, so I think I made the wrong choice here for this particular wedding. Now, thinking of the couple, it is probably way casual and I could imagine even the groomsmen wearing jeans. Back to the closet!

DANGIT-- when can I wear that dumb dress?!? It doesn't seem appropriate for anything WR... I have a RD dress (http://amberandjosh.weebly.com/1/post/2011/04/edit-wedding-shoes-uncheck.html)

I would wear that dress out to a nice dinner.  I dont remember what your job is but that dress would even be appropriate for work for me.  I am sure you can find some places to where it to as its very cute.

Is a white bohemian style tiered skirt okay for a wedding? Ya know, don't wear white.. It would be with a plum dressy tank.

Or you could possibly dress it down with some cork wedges or something (and casual accessories) for the wedding?
    Just a thought...

I agree with Bobbieliegh on the original pick of the dress.  A nice dinner or it would be a cute work dress too.

Hmmm...is she (the bride) boho chic?  If so, that might blend too much with the wedding party.  But if not, it would be okay with some cute accessories that play down the white.  IMHO

Ok, so I brought the boho skirt, just in case.. but decided to go with the original black dress and pray that it looks okay with my black backless espadrilles!

BTW -- in Kemah now enjoying our last "dating anniversary" !! I'm so pumped because we got a super cute fakie engagement ring at one of the shops for me to wear on my bachelorette cruise. ;)
