Wedding vows Help!!

My fiance and I want to write our own wedding vows. We are basically writing our whole ceremony. We are looking for advice as we are a little confused as to how it works. I have a sample traditional civil ceremony wording, in which it includes "for richer and poorer, sickness and in health", etc. So what we are wondering is if we write our own vows, do we take all that other stuff out???

My fiance and I adapted this worksheet to write our vows. It really helped to focus us as get past any writers block. Hope that helps.
