My colors are navy and yellow.  Navy doesn't photograph well however for pictures and I don't want to carry yellow or white.  So I'm going with blue and white (and maybe add some yellow in to the mix).  I figure I should be able to carry what I want!  Plus, it should still look good for pictures!
  • FYI : How the heck is it Jan already?! Y.I.K.E.S.

Anyways!  My theme/colors are blush and romantic so I wanted to do a bouquet of light pinks, peaches and hints of coral.  The girls dresses are blush pink so their flowers will be more white based but my photographer told me to try to bring color into mine because so many brides go for the lighter look and then it ends up blending in with their dress!  I just want it big and fluffy and textured and soft!

  • My colors are navy and grey with hints of green. This is the inspiration for my bouquet only it will be bigger and I will have a crystal "S" hanging off the wrapped stems. I love the variety in this bouquet and the use of the berries and other different things! Not something you see everday!

  • I love the colors my bouquet will have more white in it but this was the inspiration!  I love the burgundy lilies, with the roses and the gerber daisies.  We won't be using yellow or the leaves in the bouquet!
  • We are doing a fall theme with leaves. So I thought our colors of yellow and brown while including some orange would be great. I made my own bouquets. They didnt turn out as nice as I'd like but they are good enough to get the job done :)

We're going super-fall all the way and our colors are deep red and burnt orange, so I'm "fall"ing out the bouquet as well.  My girls will be in red dresses, so I think a more orange-based bouquet would be good for them but still undecided.

  • Beautiful photos, ladies!

Our colors are pretty standard fall: yellow and orange. If they can do something with a soft grey, I'd like to add that instead of green. Since the bridesmaids are going to be wearing a yellow-orange dress, I'm thinking of doing a similar, smaller bouquet in whites to get some contrast.

I haven't completely made up my mind what I really want for my bouquet.  But I know I want it to sort of coordinate with the necklace I'm wearing:

So, the picture in my signature is what I'm leaning towards.  I had originally though I was going to go with sunflowers but the more I thought about it, it clashed with the look I am going for no matter how much I love sunflowers.  So, whatever it ends up being I want there to be shades of this aqua green in the bouquet like in succulents.

(NOTE: It used to not read any of this.  I changed it once I changed my mind).

  • I haven't updated my sig yet, but I'm doing the oranges like a lot of others, with plum/cream accents.  I'm making them with silk flowers!
  • I havent really found the "one" yet. I know I want a round bouquet, but I havent found one I love in our colours. We are doing hot pink  and some shades of pink with navy blue. I do not want blue flowers so therefore I am looking for something in pink. Kinda like the first one, love the second one but the colours arent really right... Guess I have to keep looking. Still havent met with the florist, so maybe she has some ideas when we meet.

On another note I got the first RSVP for the wedding today :) And a message that they already bought flight tickets! I am sooo exicted about that, it makes me feel like the wedding is closer and is really happening. FUN!
  • My theme is dark and even though I am wearing a white gown my bouquet is black and charcoal fabric flowers and rhinestone and pearl brooches. I ordered the whole bunch yesterday. I am very excited for it to come in in March! Yay!

  • Our colors are malibu blue and coral. It will look similar to this with the blue ribbon wrap but more like roses with little white flowers tucked into it. The bridesmaids will have Malibu blue dresses and an all coral rose bouquet with the blue wrap. We are having a beach themed wedding and the colors go perfect with our nude accent color!

  • We are going with fall themed colors as well.  Our colors are technically cranberry (maroon/burgundy) pumpkin pie (burnt orange) and ivory.  I did all of the flowers myself from silks.

  •  I am somewhat concerned that my white bouquet will blend in with my dress...but we are doing a black and white wedding, so i dont really know what other color my bouquet would be besides white.

We are doing hints of silver, but a silver bouquet is silly. I think i'm going to wrap the stem with rhinestones to make it pop against my dress.

  • So I kind of fell in love with this bouquet a while ago. I know red roses, cliche, whatever. I don't care. Our house is full of dried red roses that FI has given to me over the years and I can't wait to dry a few of them from my bouquet to add to the collection. Instead of just pearls though, I have a strand with some black in it as well to tie into the bridesmaid bouquets, which are fake:

We have all of the materials to put them together, just haven't done it yet.

  • We're getting married at the zoo, so we thought it might be fun to carry feather bouquets instead of flowers (we may also incorporate some flowers in these bouquets).

This is what I'd like to mimic for my bouquet:

And here's what we are thinking for bridesmaids:

  • My colors are navy and yellow so I wanted a mix of white, navy and yellow for my bouquet. I want my BM's to have all yellow bouquets, and my MOH to have a yellow bouquet with some blue in it.  It's not looking like I can add something to her dress to have her differentiated so I told my sister that her bouquet could be a little larger than the others. I do want mine to be mostly white though with just a little pop of color. Sealed

I had my florist consult on September 29th (exactly 1 year minus a day to our wedding). When we sat down I told her our visions and we picked out a variety of Dark Purple, Mauve and White Flowers. I was really excited about what we'd come up with.

Then last month, my florist posted this photo on her Facebook page and it had all the flowers we discussed at my consult. I just love this bouquet. Its so gorgeous!!! I told her this is what I want and she added it to my file.

  • Even though my colors are teal and chocolate brown I am still having a fall theme and using fall floral. Two of the pics in my siggy are my inspiration pics and the one showing me holding the bouquet is one of the bouquets that I made myself. I have already made all of the bouquets. The bouquets were my first DIY project nd they turned out exactly the way I wanted them to! It took me 3 seperate trips to the same 4 stores to find the flowers I wanted. I was trying to find the most realistic for the best price and I found them. All the flowers for the bouquets cost me $75! Very proud DIY/Budget Bride! :)

  • i don't really have set 'colors'.  im just doing neutrals.  our theme is country/rustic, and i fell in love with my inspiration bouquet the second i found it.  actually, thats the reason i decided to change from set colors to just neutrals.  :)
i have my bouquet like 80% finished.  I still have some rearranging and flower adding to do, but i still have over 8 months.  :)

I cannot decide. I love tulips, but they will be too expensive. I thought about using Lily of the valley to honor my late Grandma Lily, but again too expensive.  My fiance has only ever bought me orange roses, so I threw that in the mix.  I'm sure it will be beautiful non the less.  My girls will be carrying orange flowers, so I want mine to be a little different.

EDIT: I like the succulents in the first picture, my colors are greay and orange.

  • Hey ladies,

Sorry for being super late to the convo.  I really had no clue about what I was into when I first started looking at flowers.  All I knew what that I really really didn't like lilies and gerber daisies.

After meeting with a few florists, I started to see that I like soft, romantic flowers like garden roses, the fun-ness of succulents, and very loose, non-structured arrangements.  The flowers are going to be peach tones with some pastel yellows and ivories.  And wahlah, these are all the things I love about my inspiration bouquet.

I can't wait to see what our florist will whip up for me :)
