Lottery ticket favors?

Has anyone done this before? I love this idea and I'm getting ready to purchase 250 $1 lottery tickets... But I never play the lottery so I really dont know where to get them and if I can even purchase 250 of them at the same time, at the same place.  Any ideas? Thanks girls!

I am planning on doing this for my favors. You should be able to purchase 250 of them at once. You may need to go to a few different stores.

We are putting a 2011 penny with all of ours as well.

I did these as part of our gift bags and everyone thought it was a cute idea.
I bought little holders off of orientialtrading.com and when i bought the tickets i didnt buy them all at once i bought i think 20-25 a day from the machines they have in grocery stores until i had enough for everyone. But im sure if you go to a place that sells them and they have 250 on hand they will be glad to sell them to you.

I would never do this; only because I will kill myself if someone became a millionnaire from the ticket I bought! :D

I'm pretty sure that that chances of winning anything other than $1 or "free ticket" from a $1 scrath ticket are slim to none.....

imo- unless you are having a vegas, or casino type wedding reception, they would just seem out of place. and again imo i wouldnt want my guests to know they are getting a $1 thank you that may or may not be worth even $1. i mean- we all love to give gifts that look or feel like they were more expensive then they were. (like giving a $50 bracelet that we actually got on clearance and an additional % off so it was only $20 type thing) but again- it may be perfect for your friends and fam. my friends fam all do scratch offs at christmas (every one brings $20 in $1 tickets and they go in a basket then split up among every one. and it was fun for them, but only one person won, any thing over $1, so it was like all 10 of us didnt actually get to give or get a gift.) if you love the idea- tie the ticket to something or maybe put it in a little pic frame for them to keep too?
