Crystal Bling as a Gift

Went to a wedding were the bride and groom had crystal wedding trees as table centerpieces.  Then as the reception was ending they told the remaing guests that if they wanted the centerpieces they were up for grabs.

I was thinking that I would decorate my centerpieces with crystals and let each person at the table take home a piece as a gift.

Eh....and do what with it?  That really doesn't sound like a gift to me.

Well basiclly the table centerpiece tree would look like this but the ribions on the crystal will match our wedding colors and then guests can take a piece of crystal home to remember our wedding day.

I don't know, maybe if they were some sort of ornament, but even then I dont' know how many of your guests would actually want to take one. What about individually wrapped candy "crystals" that they can eat? I know I've seen some on etsy.

Honestly, I would not take that home. It would just be something to collect dust.  The truth is, no one really wants trinkets to remember your day by. The centerpieces are great....just don't be hurt if people don't take the pieces.  I think you should do rock candy favors.....edible crystal all the way!  I am doing a winter theme and am planning to use those in addition to my snowflake chocolates b/c they look like ice.

Ok I'm late to the party but who cares. Girl don't listen to them. I love the idea. I collect things like this and it sounds like just one of the things I should use in my wedding. I say go with it! It's original and you never know who is a colector of stuff and who may look back and say "do you remember when this happend?" Thanks for the idea. LaddyWinkLaughing
