I'm watching the Glee finale. Again. How many weeks until April 13?

I would just be happy that my dress came in early and move on.  Seriously, maybe they found one stashed in the back or something.  There are so many other things that are stressful when it comes to a wedding, this isn't worth it.

I'm going to flame my parents for not taking better care of their house or for not asking for help.  They're proud people, and I get that, but you have two children and they are more than capable of helping you out.  That having been said, I am looking at something drastic for them.  Either moving them up near me or something but they can't go on like this.

Ok, thanks.  I still wish they would just say "freshman" and "sophmore."

I don't know why AA does that.  My dress came in March instead of May.  Luckily I was able to pay for it.

So I went to by the 30 Day Shred on my lunch break (planning to do this in the morning in addition to my normal workouts)... and on the way back drove through and got a Chick Fil A Sandwich.

    ...oh the irony.

It is harder for me to eat healthy when it's cold outside. It's like I have some subconscious thing telling me I need to stock up for the winter.

LOL Marissa, you are officially my new favorite person for finding that. 100% agreed.

I have done next to nothing today.  Nuh-THING.  But I did walk around and see if anyone needed help so I feel like I've done my duty.

    Just a thought:

If the opposite had happened and instead of Sam Bradford getting hurt at the Cotton Bowl-Colt McCoy did-would you not have cheered at first?  In the heat of the moment, not many people who are routing for their team would be too concerned if the star player of their rival team got hurt (they'd be thrilled).  I'm not trying to say it's right to cheer, but no one is perfect-especially in the heat of the moment, in a crowd full of rowdy football fans, cheering

I'm not gonna lie, if Donovan McNabb gets hurt tomorrow, I'll probably be pretty relieved.  But I certainly don't want him to because then it wouldn't be a fair game.  Much like last night wasn't because a freshman QB just isn't going to bring it like a Senior will.  Just sayin'.

Did any of that make sense?

And ditto buttercup.  Some of the crap people were posting last night was just ridiculous.  I understand rivalries and all-but to be downright rude and nasty-that's just unnecessary.

There is nothing wrong for me to be grateful that my husband went on a business trip for a few days. Everyone needs/deserves their alone time.

It really bugs me that ppl that aren't sports fan treat others that are as if they have a problem. It is infuriating to knock someone for getting passionate about what they enjoy.

And no, I'm not going to find out the sex of my baby. That doesn't make me weird. When you a parasite growing inside of you, then make your own decisions.

Passion is one thing, unnecessary hatefulness is another.

I hate the University of Missouri, but not the people. :)

    LOL

By the way, I hate having to go to the first page of this post everytime I want to see what the last person wrote.  That's lame.  TK needs to fix that.

Emily, oh excuse me, The Good Time - Where did you develop this hatred for the University of Missouri? In college, I assume. I'm not being rude, just curious.
  • edited December 2011
I'm a University of Kansas Alum and they are arch rivals... It is actually a deep seeded hate for each other that dates back to the 20s, it is kind of interesting. When Missouri played us in various sports, some coaches would not let the bus drivers even get gas in the state of KS. The rivalry is one of the most famous in college history, and not just sports.

And thanks for referring to me as The Good Time... LOL!!! :)

I think part of my problem is that I have never attended a university with a football team. I went to UTA when I was younger, and I now I go to TWU. I just have never been exposed to that college rivalry thing except through other people.

I totally see your point of view.

I found when I moved out of TX, how much ppl hate UT, Texas, Texans, and even A&M. It was a shock for me. But the further north you go, it isn't just football, it is hockey, Lacrosse, etc. What is interesting, that the NE doesn't care about college football at all, it just has never been a sport to watch for them. Pro is a different story.

I'm not a huge football fan, but I get kind of obnoxious about KU basketball (we're really good).

Marissa - Jordan just kept saying during the game that this was kharma for rejoicing over Sam's injury in the OU/TX game.  I appreciated the irony, but the loss still made me sad (even though I expected it).  However, I think most people I've talked to can agree on one thing - why the heck did we have to listen to Pete Carroll?  Gr.

This is a combination of FFF and Confession since I've missed all the recent cofession threads.  I went with DH to a "gentleman's club" last month, and it's made me more convinced that it's silly to get upset about a strip-club bachelor party. Also, I actually had fun and there were other (straight) women there.

There is nothing wrong with going to a strip club. I went a couple of times several years ago, and have no problem with my husband going. I think it's assinine when women get their panties in a wad over their husbands looking at other naked women. They are just allowed to look. It's actually "safer" than them going to dance clubs to grind all over strange women who don't have rules against physical contact...

Emi - I think it's great that you don't want to find out the baby's gender, that should be up to you and your husband and nobody else. I would like to do that because I have this weird thing about not conditioning my baby to stereotypical gender roles before it's even born, but I'll probably cave and find out. And then give in to all the gender stuff. Tongue out

As far as strippers, I'm triyng to convince FI to go to a strip club for his bachelor party, but he just wants to go camping. Lame. However, he does have a hilarious story about getting a lapdance and the chair had wheels and kept moving because his feet didn't reach the floor! (He's 5'2"). Cracks me up every time.

Mariah, if McNabb gets hurt because you posted that, I'm coming over to your house and smacking your face.  <3
