flowers/centerpiece cost

Okay, so I'm having a large wedding, and I got a quote of 2800 from a home based florist for the following:

30 centerpieces (about 50 each, very floral with candles also)

vases and centerpieces for head table

bridal bouquet (100- cala lillies and roses)

8 bridesmaids bouquets

2 jr bridesmaids bouquets

2 flower girl flowers

12 bouts

bows for the pews 

alter arangement for church

I live in suburban Detroit, and I think this is a good deal from what i've heard. but it's hard to swallow paying so much. think it's a good deal?

Floral prices vary drastically throughout the country. You're going to get much more accurate responses if you post this on your local board.

In my area it would be a good deal. Centerpieces run about $75 here, bridal bouquet about $125. It would be hard for me to swallow too. Have you considered doing 15 non floral centerpieces and 15 floral ones? It would help with the cost.

I think that this is a reasonable price.  Does this include delivery and set up too?

yea, that price includes tax, set up, all that stuff.

Compared to the estimate I received, I think that is a very good deal.  My estimate is around the same price for only 14 centerpieces, 2 bridesmaid bouquets, 1 flower girl, 5 bouts and an aisle runner w/petals. 

We are getting married Feb 19 and I've been told it's so expensive because of Valentine's Day.  Poor planning on my part

I agree with you on having to stomach spending that much on flowers that are just going to get left behind and thrown away, but it seems as if you've gotten a good deal for yourself, so I would take it!
