help?? DIY vs. Florist

I am stuck.

My soon to be sister in law and a few others have offered to put together all the flowers for my wedding if I order them.

I also found a florist who could do all the flowers for about $200 more than the cost of the flowers I would order online but...I am not sure if I trust her taste and I dont feel totally comfortable with it. (She also cant create a trial run of the centerpeices for less than $100 and I dont really want to pay that...)

So, thoughts? What would you do?

    Hhave you looked through photos of the florist?  You may be able to find something you like or show her changes to something similar.  I would let the florist do the flowers.  Although it's a nice gesture for your family and friends to offer to help this could add another stressor to you just before your wedding.

    Local markets like Safeway offer this service and it's way cheaper than a florist. They try to hire competent people; you may want to interview a few to make sure your local store has a good florist. I'm goint with Safeway, myself.

    The florist is stressing me out more than my family members doing it...thats the problem. I went through her photos and its hard to say if she does weird things or the brides do weird things...

    about Safeway - do they have most flowers you would want? I am definitely going to have to check that out. thanks!

    FI and I are making our own. Bouts are SO easy to make. It takes just minutes and saves a lot of money. I mean, really, what are you paying for? A few blooms, a piece of wire, and some floral tape. Hardly worth what a florist charges IMO.
