Mariah, your seriously cracking me up.   That rat IS cute!!

That rat is so cute. Makes me sad about the traps set around the office. They're not even remotely humane either. :(
Sorry, sorry Debbie Downer. Must be my hormones.

    So on another note--
RANDOM and gross, but I was reminded of it------ I had a party once where one of the girl attendees put her used tampon in my wastebasket sans toilet paper. Just sitting there...all used...in an empty bathroom trash..in my home. That's just so disgusting. Girls/women amaze me sometimes and I'm constantly reminded of how nasty they are by restrooms.

    Quotes from Ruminations:

I now know what it must be like as a fly repeatedly flying into a window. It's the same as when I enter my password over and over to no avail and not notice the caps lock is on.  (I have done this many-a-times)

Saying you've never seen Star Wars while standing in the IT department is like yelling "Snake!" at a girl scout convention. You can't help but giggle at those high-pitched shrieks.

You know what makes an argument worse? That douchebag that butts in to say, "Can't we all just get along?"   (I thought this was kind of appropriate...but I definitely wouldn't call that person a "douchebag"..I just thought it was ironic)

    Was learning cursive really necessary?

"Do not machine wash or tumble dry" means I will never wash this ever.
      Yeah...pretty much.

This will ring true to all those commuters out there who drive in Dallas traffic!!
I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of cars teams up to prevent a d*** from cutting in at the front. Stay strong, brothers!

No matter how many times I watch Titanic I'm 100% sure that if they had tried harder, Jack would've fit perfectly fine on that floating headboard.

When my gums bleed at the dentist she always asks me when was the last time I flossed. I look at her puzzled. It was 6 months ago. She was there.

I don't write on your facebook wall so you can comment on it. I write on your wall so you will write back on mine and make me seem more popular. Work with me here.

I never understood why the Lions and Cowboys always get to play on Thanksgiving. Shouldn't the Patriots play the Redskins, and then steal their stadium afterwords?

Is it just me, or are the people who claim they hate drama actually the most dramatic people I know?

"I had to walk to school 40 miles in the snow... barefoot" was good in it's day. But imagine the sheer terror on your kid's face when you drop "When I was born there was no internet".

I will give you 2 seconds to figure out that you have the right of way before I take it from you.

    Oh...here's a confession:

Last weekend I was staining my fence and I was listening to the "new kids on the block" station on Pandora.  I heard some GOOD songs, brought me back.... Billie Jean, How Do I know, Thriller, Pretty Young Thing, Please Don't Go Girl, that song for "Mannequin", Hungry Eyes, She's Like the Wind, etc..... Dude, you can bet your a$$ I was dancing around painting my fence to that stuff.  I'm sure my neighbors thought I was insane.

Sometimes I feel kind of bad when someone seeks wedding related advice and I think to myself, "It really won't and doesn't matter." I would never actually say that, but I'm confessing sometimes I do think it. Because I know now that it doesn't, but planning my wedding I didn't. Shame one me, I guess.

Although, I will question when you are way too over the top control freak about planning your wedding. i.e. planning in 3 weeks??

And I guess you can flame me for this too. I consider one to be engaged once there is a ring on their finger. My now husband would have run to the hills had I remotely started planning (as in paying deposits, not daydreaming) our wedding before he had officially asked. I'm a traditionalist I guess and wouldn't to scare off the man I love.

So I saw this on a photographers website and I just don't know what to think about fake tattoos on babies.  I don't know why it weirds me out...but it just does. The baby is pretty cute though.

Mariah--I actually kind of like that picture. At least it's fake and cutesy.

I agree that it's a cute picture, Cheryl.  I just don't know why the tattoo weirds me out.  I know it's supposed to be cute...but there's just something about it...

Mariah, you think the fake tattoo is bad, FI's aunt had her one year old grandsons ears pierced!!! It was right before his first bday party and she had a little outfit for him, she thought the earring made it look extra cute. My jaw dropped when FI told me.

So these are the things either my kids or I have freaked out about this year during discussions:

    1. I didn't own a cell phone until I was 23 (my 4th graders have them now).  They didn't even HAVE cell phones until I was 20 (unless you count the Zack Morris phone).
    2.  They didn't know what Encyclopedias were.  Literally had no idea.
    3.  I said something about Michael Jackson Thriller being my very first record album (really was) and they asked what records were.  One kid said, "Oh!  You mean those really big CDs?"
    4.  When I mentioned that there was no Internet when I was in school, they were baffled at how I looked stuff up (Ummm... the library?).
