Tall Flower Centerpiece HELP!!

I'm making tall flower centerpieces using 24" eiffel tower vases and silk flowers. I'm going to purchase bouquet holders because it will be easier to put the flowers on the holder and it will give the piece a nice round shape.

I've tried figuring out how many flowers I need and I come up with a different number every time!! Has anyone done this/is doing this and can give me any advice?

Also, I've been on a bunch of silk flower sites and a lot of them sell bouquets in the flowers I want to use (roses and hydrangeas) at reasonable prices. Would buying bouquets be easier than buying bulk or by the stem? i'm thinking I could pull the bouquets apart.

Re: Tall Flower Centerpiece HELP!!

  • It really depends on how full you want the centerpieces to be. If in doubt, buy some flowers and do a mock up. Then multiply by the number of flowers you bought by the number of centerpieces you'll need.
Another thing to think about is making sure that the vases are structurally sound. The vase should be heavy enough so if someone bumps into the table, the vase isn't going to topple over.
