Wedding Ceremony & Reception Music Discussions

sentimental music

My father passed away three years ago and my brother is giving me away. I would actually like to dance with my brother instead of a traditional father-daughter dance. Is this okay?? And what songs would you suggest?? My brother and I are like best friends:)

It is very okay. Is there a song from your childhood?

Rainbow Connection is a pretty song from my childhood.  A friend used this to dance with her brother.  Her father too had passed away.

I think it would be lovely for you to dance with your brother!  I agree with PP on "Rainbow Connection"!  Other suggestions, the IZ version of "Over the rainbow/What a Wonderful World" or "Stand By Me" (Ben E. King).  There's also a very lovely song from the Disney movie "Fox and the Hound" called "You've Got a Friend in Me", by Randy Newman. GL!
