String Quartet

So I would love to have a string quartet at the ceremony but given their price I was thinking about just going with 2 people but I do not know if it is just not going to look right ?? Don't know if I am going to do it do it right and bite the bullet and get the usual 4 people!!! Any comments

    Yes, many quartets are very expensive! It is very common to go with a duo so it will look fine. Also, if the companies providing musicians in your area are very expensive, try contacting a local college with a music program. Depending on the area it might save you a lot of money, but usually still provides you with musicians of the same or similar quality since they're about to make a living doing the same thing.     Couldn't agree more.

    I play in a quartet and I know how expensive we are.  There are many times when we are hired as a duo or a trio.

    I've always wanted one but couldn't afford it! Sometimes just a cello can sound beautiful because it's a full sounding instrument. Or a harp can give you that same string sound, for a fraction of the price.

    We also wanted a string quartet, but too save $ are having a Cello-Guitar duo.  Not a combo I ever heard before, but I loved it and it sounded beautiful!
