Wedding Ceremony & Reception Music Discussions

What music have you ladies chosen for the ceremony?

What did you choose for the bridal party to enter to? What song will you be walking down the aisle to? What did you choose for a recessional?

Parents and bridal party processed to "Entrance of the Nobles" by Rimsky-Korsakov.  I processed to "Thaxted" (middle section of "Jupiter" from The Planets) by Holst.  Recessional was Handel's "La Rejouissance".

All of these were performed by a brass quintet.

  • moms entrance = "dawn" (pride and prejudice)
girls and my entrance = clair de lune
recessional = ode to joy (a heavily arpeggiated/improv version - was pretty!)

....clearly we used piano throughout =)  it sounded gorgeous, and was so relaxing/happy. makes me so happy to remember it all!

The only thing I have decided on is that I'll walk down the aisle to Passion Pit's "Moth's Wings." I'm having trouble getting my FI focused on music to decide on the rest.
