Hi ladies! I'm new to these boards. I just wanted to introduce myself so here's my story.

I am actually married already. DH & I got married on May 27, 2005 at the courthouse with just a couple of people present. We have 3 kids and we live in Texas (North of Dallas). I'm 25, DH is 26. We are planning a religious ceremony/vow renewal. My dad always wanted us to have a big wedding and he passed away last year so we are doing this not only for us, but as a last wish for him as well. Our date is May 29, 2011! We were supposed to do it this year for our 5 year anniversary but my brother and now SIL got engaged and picked the date before we actually started to plan so we are doing it next year. I have my venue, dress, ceremony musician, DJ, and caterer booked. We are doing a vintage/industrial theme. Our colors are green and black with hints of yellow. If there is anything else y'all wanna know just ask!

    Just curious... who are you using for your venue, DJ, etc??

    Your wedding sounds super cute! Who is your venue? Let's see your dress! Who is your DJ/ceremony musician? Caterer? Call me nosy, but I feel like I just started the actual planning process so I am curious. I have been engaged since May 15, but spent the first two months brainstorming and job hunting and agonizing over the overwhelming amount of choices to make for a wedding.

    My venue/caterer is Buffalo Valley Event Center in Denton. My DJ & ceremony musician I found on gigmaster.com. The DJ is Mix Master/Hackberry Road and the ceremony musician is a pianist Dave Edwards. My dress is an Alfred Angelo, style 1149.

    How lovely!  I think that dress is beautiful for a vow renewal.  There are a couple of others doing vow renewals so you are in good company.

    Congrats and Welcome!

    Sorry for the loss of your father. Mine just passed away in May - almost exactly 3 months before our big day. I know he wanted to be at my wedding more than anything - and he'll be watching from the best seat in the house! So its a beautiful thing that you are doing this to honor him!
