AW Thursday!

We took the Twogether class about a month ago at Brookhaven.  It was interesting.  Not in that we learned about how to be married, but the other couples.  Some thought it was thearpy time, some shared WAY too much info with complete strangers and some were just flat out odd....but free marriage license and hopeully stuff we can use later.

MY AW - my Dallas bachelorette party is this weekend.  Sinc eI did Vegas already, this is just a small one.  We are getting a room at the Gaylord then going to Glass Cactus to see La Freak.  Yea Disco!

Not AW - I postponed my bridals until after the wedding.  I was feeling totally rushed and ended up getting some cuts on my chest from the Tour De Fleur run last Saturday.  Oh well.  Now my FI can be in them and I don't have to worry about the dress.

See some of you ladies tonight!  I am in desparate need of alcohol!!!!

We were going to take Twogether in Texas this weekend, but I emailed the Fort Worth area ladies to reserve a spot and heard nothing back. Emailed again and still nothing. I can only assume we were not meant to take the class.

HA HA I know there were a few strange couples in there, but there was this cute older couple and they had a ton of good stuff to say.  I love cute lil' old people! LOL

There were only 2 other couples with us and one girl cried most of the time.

As long as you are open and honest with your fiance about finances and your thoughts on the future, you will be fine.

I have only ever known one couple to not make it through Pre-Cana and they were both really naive about money and life in general. Pre-Cana showed them that they had different goals in life and different opinions about the roles they expected the other partner to play. Although it was sad for their engagement to be broken it was also a blessing that they were both saved from a lifetime of unhappiness; which I suppose is the point of all of these classes. :)

I'm getting my epics done this weekend... eeeeek I'm so nervous. I bought a top to wear I thought was cute and FI didn't like it.. he thought it was too poofy... I think i just need to exchange it for a smaller size. (i hope!!)

We also got a Chicago groupon for the History museum. we'll be up there in 2 weeks Yay!

Ok... I feel a little better. We've had all these discussions. I might want to remind FI about them though. He has selective memory on anything that doesn't have to do with Sports, Cars or Tools. Just so he doesn't look at me like, "we never talked about that", at the classes.

We got our marriage license Monday morning.  We have the final meeting at our venue tonight and we paid off our DJ (Melodies and Memories) last night!  Almost done with our RSVP list and can give the caterer a final head count next week.  And we have our OOT shower with FI's family this weekend.

DFW Indian,
I was a little on edge about it too.  There wasn't a whole lot of information out there about it.  And, truth be told, I didn't get much out of it.  It was about communication mostly and I had learned a lot of the same things in taking professional development classes for teaching.  It was a huge class and there was a Spanish one going on in the other building so there seemed to be a lot of couples.  I wish that they had had a class for slightly older couples.  We were both 35ish and most of the couples were ten years younger than we were.

Yea. I don't like how there isn't too much information about any of it. Having seperate classes for people who are doing second, later in life, interfaith, and such kind of marriages. 
we have this HUGE Pre-cana book we have to fill out and I just look at thinking... WOW. I so dont' have time for this right now. FI jokes around and tells me to get started because I have to fill both of them out. His already married friends just look at him a laugh and say good luck with that!

I'm super excited about Fall TV, too (Fringe & Bones tonight, House & Glee already this week!)

On a bummer note: I have a nasty cold... started Monday... and I'm not good at "taking it easy"

Us too!  We signed up for the one in Houston though.  The deacon working with us said it was fine since we don't live in Dallas.  I have never known anyone to not make it through EE.  This will be the last thing to do for the pre-cana so FI is excited about checking that off the list.  After three months of NFP, he thought we were done! 

After this... order the papal blessing.

It wasn't the class, it was her.  I found the class pretty boring.  We were supposed to be talking to our partner about certain topics I guess started the water works for her.

I am excited for the G2G as well! Except for the fact that I just spilled queso all over my hair and won't have time to go home and wash it. ICK! Oh and I'm pretty sure I will get lost on the way out there! Other than that I am super excited!
