I'm getting married July 3rd, 2013. My fianc and I decided we really wanted a videographer for our wedding because of course we want video of our big day to watch over and over again but also due to our guest list. In order to keep it reasonably sized we had to cut our list down but promised those that understood our position we'd get them a video. So when I bought my dress last month I was told about PbDB so we set up an appointment and without searching further or as I've done so far with all the other vendors looked up reviews we signed up with them on the spot. However I'm getting a bit nervous about it and want to know if we should just suck it up and cancel our contract while its only 200 and we've only invested 2 months payments with them?

I would be very wary of this. The reviews I've ready are not good, and it's important to realize that David's Bridal is a wedding dress company, not a photography company. They find and hire their photographers from Craigslist and they are paid very poorly. You do not have a choice of your photographer and will have no way to get to know them or their style before the wedding. They are set up in a very similar way to Bella Pictures and The Pros and the stories from those companies are nightmares. You are essentially bringing in photographers and videographers who are paid poorly and are not in business for themselves full time which means that if something goes wrong they have nothing to lose whatsoever. There's just no recourse with them if you happen to get matched up with someone who doesn't have the equipment, skill, or experience to deal with all of the crazy circumstances that come up during a wedding.
