Pre-wedding Parties

Bridal Shower invites

I am from England originally and my FH and I are going to be getting married there next June. We have invited a lot of people from Ca, many of which will not make it for various reasons. As we are asking our people to travel we are sending our invites out in January, so we will know my march who is coming or not. My MOH and FSIL are hosting the bridal shower in April...we are having a co-ed party and are wondering should we still invite people who have said they can't attend the wedding?

I may be wrong, and I am sure someone will correct me if I am, but I am pretty sure the rule is "you cant invite people to the shower who are not INVITED to the wedding". As long as they received an actual invitation in the mail I think you can still invite them. I know there are people who are unable to attend weddings for various reasons that choose to attend the shower.

Thank you...I wouldn't invite anyone who wasn't invited to the wedding I have read that on here A LOT :) Just wanted the bridal shower to be like a party for those who couldn't make it to England with us for the wedding, but wasn't sure if it was correct to invite them once they had rsvp'd that they were not  coming to wedding?

You can still invite them to the shower even if you know they can't attend the wedding.
