Involvement in Bridal Shower Planning

My mom offered to host a bridal shower for me. I would never think of hosting my own shower, but she would like some help from me with smaller things, like what kind of games to play, cake to serve, and decorations to have.

I'd be glad to take any stress off of her I could, but wanted to know how much involvement from me would be too much? Is it okay to pick out things if she asks me to, or should I try to stay out of it?

Typically, the bride shouldn't know all of the details that go into a shower but if she is asking what kinds of foods you do and don't like, that is fine.

She is probably asking you this to make it as enjoyable for you as possible, which is very thoughtful however, she should probably be speaking to your BM's about this and not you.

Besides, the more you stay out of it the more of a surprise it will be the day of
