FI bachlor Party :)

So FI's bachlor party is in a couple days and I am super excited for him.  Though, he keeps telling me he would rather me go as well, we do everything together always have, we just have fun.  I want him to go and have a good time and enjoy himself, and I hve told him so numerous times.  Everytime I tell him to just go out with the guys have fun he tells me it won't be fun without me . He tried telling BM he won't go unless I can, BM says no its your bachlor party she had hers.

So how do I convince FI he will have a great time without me? or what would you do in a situation like this?

While it's sweet he enjoys yours company, I agree he should do this one solo. Being able to hang out with friends sepately from your spouse is a necessary part of healthy relationships.

Maybe if he can't have that much fun with these guys he doesn't have much in common anymore and should add some new friends, I don't know. But he really should have some guys he can hang out with because you can two need SOME space and he likely will need advice/support when you two fight.

Agree with PP.  I think a healthy relationship requires some space apart and friends outside the couple.

I would tell him he's being clingy and I need a night to myself to be a girl, and that he should go out and have fun being with his guys.

And then I would tell the his brother to make sure to take his cell phone away from him so that he wouldn't be texting me all night lol

Oh, THIS.  My FI had to steal his BM's phone from him at BM's bachelor party a couple years ago.

Yeah, you don't need to tag along to the bachelor party. It would be different if it were a large co-ed group, but if it's all the guys and then you, that's just weird to me.

Thats what I told him, granted we are all friends but its his night to go hang out with the guys I am content to staying at home watching tv

Yeah, you're doing the right thing by encouraging him to go. Does he NEVER go out with people without you? It is healthy to have time apart, even if you do share mutual friends. I would encourage him to have a guys night once or twice a month while you have a girls night so he gets comfortable hanging out socially without you. It's great he loves spending time with you, but you are right; he needs his own time as well.

the only issue with why he doesnt want to have a guys night every month or so is cuz i really dont have any girlfriends so he feels bad, but give me a movie and my cats and i can do that.
Oh and he had a blast they left at 9pm Sat night and got home 730 am sunday lol

Personally this would really anger me (if his groomsmen stole his phone or if my bridesmaids stole my phone). We're all adults (hopefully) and won't spend the whole time texting each other. I don't see the problem with an "I love you" or "Having a great time" or similiar text. IMO, it really crosses the line to cut off access to each other.
