Re: Wedding Colors

White, yellow, orange, and almost every light color I Hate! I've never wanted a white wedding but decided that since I'm going for the "big wedding" I might as well make the parents happy and go with a white dress, instead of black. Since my dress will be white I chose my colors to be black and white...and throw a little bit of silver/gray in there to break it up. The "color" I'm going to use is a little bit of pink in the Stargazers and white Alstroemeria for the flowers and the wall lights will be blue to add some color, instead of just having clear lights on a white wall.

My only issue with the black/white thing is that even though there are a TON of black/white favors out there, I hate the designs (too frilly/girly for me) so I'm probably doing to go more DIY or plain black, white, or silver.

I was thinking about doing black and red but my friend did black and, Wal-Mart paint card, Raspberry so I feel as though it would look too similar, even though they'll be 2 years apart. I also decided against my fav. medium-dark blue because every time I combine the two people comment on how it looks like a bruise...and I don't want that to be everyone's memory of my wedding.

i have always wanted a hot pink and turquoise wedding..but we are getting married on Lake Travis in Austin, so i decided to throw in some yellows, oranges, greens to make it more "tropical" and fun :) it might be bright, and not typical wedding colors..but it's what we wanted and thats all that mattered!

I'd always envisioned navy with champagne accents, but with a July wedding, I wanted a little more color - so I'm going with navy with fuschia and bright orange accents (flowers would be mostly accents).  It will also depend on what flowers are in season though - my friend will be putting together flowers that we purchase from a wholesaler, so seasonal will be important.
