    The prom-a has already started!

No, just because I have your child in my class, does not mean that we're going to bend the rules.  It's sad that your daughter's boyfriend is sick but we only just started selling tickets today.  We will be selling tickets through the beginning of May.  No, I'm not going to put her name down.  If that table fills up, they can all move to another table.  UGH!!!

You are having your milestone birthday :)  Supposedly people are supposed to give you gold when you turn the age of your birthdate.

I had a similar experience with a birthday, license and name change.  We got married a month after my birthday when I had to do my license.  Then we moved a few months after I finally got around to changing my last name.  I need to go redo it again, which I'm partially fine with because my picture looks like crap.

Julie - You have tables at prom?   Tell me more.

Ours was just a dance at a nice venue, and an elaborate after party.

My woman doctor has moved practices and this new practice does not give prescriptions for Yaz so I have to try something new.  But the good news is that I finally got a call back after I've been calling and having the pharmacy call for how long?

I'm pretty sure I am having an allergic reaction.  I had the same thing happen to me around this time 2 years ago.

Good morning ladies, it's Monday. My dad woke me up this morning and I was sleeping so good.  :-/

I'm guilty of stalking Brianna's FB too.  I'm honestly surprised there are no pics tagged yet, I'm sure there were a ton of iPhones! LOL

Ranting - My step-brother and step-sister are both in the wedding and they're both telling me and my Dad that they can't make it to the Rehearsal.  Although, they may be able to get to the dinner.  I'm like hello, they've known about this wedding since last summer.  Why can't they make plans to be there just like everyone else.  There is a rehearsal for a reason.  Ok End Rant.

Yeah, we have to do a meal.  This school has ALWAYS done it and they ALWAYS will.  However, it makes sense because the hotel will still charge me that much for renting the space.  Also, a lot of the surrounding districts do the same thing.  We ate before too and then had lots of fun after by going bowling and renting movies.

My prom was a sit down dinner and dancing afterwords. I guess it depends on the school and how much money the prom group raised. Our class started raising money freshman year.

Yeah mine was like Lauren, we used to get all dressed up and go out to nice restaurants beforehand.   I actually liked that part better than the prom itself.

We wanted to have ours at Texas Motor Speedway, so we started raising money early. Yeah we went all out, and now that I think about it, prom wasn't even that great! lol We just knew we were going to eat there so no one ate before hand. Every school is different :)

I also want to B&M 24 Hour Fitness for not having Body Pump enough in the evenings (or on Saturday's, at all) in my new area.  Currently, the only time I can go is at 7:30 on Thursday nights.

I went to it 3 times a week in Bedford. :(

I'm pretty much positive that I'm not getting any gold :)
I DO know that I'm getting a custom made purse (Trophy Queen clutch) that I've wanted for a while from FI (won't be here in time for my birthday, but will be here in plenty of time for the wedding!) and he already put a bunch of modifications on my AR-15 as part of my birthday (he's terrible at waiting/keeping secrets, he gets too excited)...

And on the Prom discussion - my high school (Trinity in Euless) did dinner at the prom... I think they still do (but don't know).

We had ours at TMS also.  We started freshman year also working at TMS and they gave so much per person to the school.  We had a dinner and then the smallest dance floor.  We had fun but it wasn't all it was as great as everyone made it seem.  It's kinda like our 10 year reunion will be, everyone is excited until they get there and see what it really is like.

I had the same issue with a esty's seller and my cake topper. It came out horrible! I told her I wasn't really happy with it and she went off on me! I was so happy I didn't give her too much either, but I wasn't willing to pay any more either. I would say just tell her. If you don't want it sadly you don't want it.

I went to prom three times at two different schools in the same district over two years. At one we went to TMS and had a plated dinner at the other two we had small foods (mashed potato bar, desserts) but no plated dinner.

These kids raise some money as they move through their grade levels but most of the cost of the prom ticket pays for the prom.  Plus, gas is driving up the price of everything.  Last year, I think we had $1500 left over and I had to go up $5 a person last year because we were that worried.  Looks like it was a good idea that I did that.  My officers want to do a lot this year but I don't want to go up again.  And, before you ask (and please don't flame), our tickets are $80 a person.  That's what happens when you have to have it at a specific hotel.  Their F&B minimum is $32000.  The hotels in the Addison area are about $18000 (or at least they were in 2009).

Good thing I'm holding off on making the final payment to the venue and to the hotel for our send off brunch.  In the past 3 days we've had 3 "yes" guests tell us that they now can't make it.  Not really a B&M, since they told us ahead of time.

    I have a new one:

I know my car is dirty, but I've been so busy doing stuff for work + home + FI's graduation + wedding, I haven't been able to make time to wash it.

So... please don't come up to tell me my car is dirty.  I already know.  Thanks.

I wish this Monday was over already. I've already gotten a phone call from a guest saying our hotel block is sold out, so I'm trying to get ahold of that hotel to add rooms to the block.

The other hotel I blocked rooms at is really confusing me. A GM called me a few weeks ago after being told there was no block under our names. I called and verified that we do have a block, and 3 rooms were already booked. And now today, the hotel told me that no rooms have been booked under our block, (?) and did I know that's Mayfest weekend? After I hung up the phone, I googled it, and no ... Mayfest is the weekend afterward. I'm completely confused.

To top it off, I just knocked over my cup of water all over my desk, soaking some papers I really need. Monday fail.
