Re: FFF

My breakfast consisted of a 100 calorie bagel and WW cream cheese....and then took a turn for the worse when a co-worker brought in rice krispy treats...and then another wrong turn when I found out a coworkers wife made puppy chow.  It's been a sugar filled morning.

Oh sparklingdiamond....only the best thing EVER!!!! haha

    Recipe from online:

    9 cup Chex
    1 cup chocolate chips
    1/2 cup peanut butter
    1/4 cup butter
    1/4 teaspoon vanilla
    1 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Put cereal in large bowl. Melt chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.

Pour over Chex cereal, put into a large plastic bag with powdered sugar and shake well to coat.

I went to my first weights class since before the wedding on Tuesday, and today is the first day I've been able to walk.  My quads feel like they have tiny pieces of glass cutting through them every time I move.  I'm very accustomed to being extremely sore....but I have never experienced anything like this.

I do have to share, I read online that using a rolling pin will work on sore muscles.... so I put a towl down over my legs and tried it.   It actually works really well!!

It's like chex mix, chocolate, peanut butter, and powdered sugar, right?  I have no idea, I've never made it.  I just eat it!  :)  And there is a fine layer of powdered sugar all over my black skirt.

Patience is a virtue I do not have.  And I'm still waiting to hear back on whether the music position has been filled or not.  At this point, I'd take good news or bad news as opposed to no news at all!  Just give me peace of mind already!

Gah--I think we cant go to Houston or the 4th  because Jay might have to take care of his dang lab rats. And so the medical mistress begins her work...

FI is going out of town this weekend - guy's weekend, so I will be all alone.  Which is good because I can study.  Studying four hours a day is ridiculously hard!

I just got a Kindle and I can't decide what books to download.  I have tons of regular books that I still have to read so I don't want to pay for them for the Kindle.

Any good books you've read lately and recommend?

I was going to go workout today during lunch...and part of me wants to just to burn off some steam and some anxiety I'm feeling about not hearing anything from the school...but part of me just doesn't want to work out today at all.

I feel ya Mariah, I got up and even got dressed to go to yoga, but I just have so much other stuff going on that I skipped it and ran my morning errands in my yoga clothes.  Which is ridiculous, it's like pretending to the world that I went and worked out when I didn't.

I'm taking a break from the diet/workout routine. I'm tired of feeling like I'm just beating my head against the wall, not seeing any results. I just need a little time off from feeling guilty all the time. Hopefully in a few days I'll feel some renewed motivation. I plan on making my fitting appointments soon, so that should help!

    P.S. I love Puppy Chow.

I'm a tad bit stressed out about wedding planning.  I have all the major players for the day - but lots of details I just have not had time to work on.  I will pick up wedding planning again in full force after the test.  The test is July 16th and 17th - please reassure me that I will be okay.  My wedding is Oct 23rd.

I'm starting to wish we eloped! Sort of. I know when the day is here, it'll all have been worth it.

I asked FI yesterday, "Do you ever wish we would have just eloped?" His response: "Everytime we get a new bill in the mail." HAHAH.

Lacey, I've only just started seriously working on details this past week (my wedding is the week after yours), but I still think I'm really ahead of schedule. You'll have three months after the test - I think you'll be fine. :)

Lacey, yep. You'll be fine! I didn't start working on details until a few weeks ago. About 8 weeks prior.

Lacey, you'll be fine.  I got burnt out on wedding planning and after booking the majority of my vendors, completely did nothing until about 3 months prior to the wedding.  I finished all my DIY stuff then (not that there was too much) and even booked a couple of last minute vendors.

    Lacey don't feel bad!

    I don't have:

    - A caterer, just an idea of what I might like to feed people
    - A plan for alcohol
    - A MUA
    - A hairstylist
    - A hotel room for night before wedding / wedding night
    - Transportation day of

    I do have:
    - Wedding burnout and don't really care right now.

    :) Other than that, TGIF!

Oh good - thank you so much!  I feel like there are just not enough hours in the day!

I got burnt out about 3 months out, too. I think that's about when it happens to everyone. Because it's not quite close enough to get super excited about yet, but it's far enough along where you've kind of gotten tired of planning and want to pull your hair out!

Mariah- Have you tried sending a follow-up email?  Maybe a "it was great meeting with you...blah blah... if you need anything else from me... blah blah.... get your ass in gear and let me know something... blah blah".  Well maybe leave out that last part.  But I've been on interviews where I ended up having to call to find out they gave the job to someone else without a word to me.

Lacey- girl, you're just fine.  I did very little wedding related after the major vendors were taken care of until May (wedding 6-12).  I was too stressed with work (TAKS test).  If you have the major players, the rest is icing.  It got to the point for me where I was if it gets done, it gets done.  If it doesn't, whatever.  Things got scrapped, and I have had not one person say anything but how beautiful everything was :)  (So people lie to the bride, but I don't care... I had a great time and, hell- I'm married and that's the whole point of this craziness, right?)

Amber, I did e-mail the other music teacher yesterday to get an idea on whether the position has been filled.  She had no idea-though she did tell me that I did a great job in the interview, they all liked me and thought I'd be a great addition to their team and that I'd make a great music teacher...And she said the principal was working on getting references and making a decision.  She said it would come down to experience and references....so I have no idea.  I figure she would know though, if they had made a decision and would let me know if the position would be filled.

Lacey--you'll be fine. I booked a place for my hair and makeup a week before the wedding! (Due to various issues) As long as your major vendors are in order, you'll be okay. I did DIY stuff up until the day before the wedding--just don't be crazy like me and go overboard

So the principal just called.  She gave the job to the candidate with more experience.  Other than that, I would have had the job.

<div>Dislike.  They're missing out.  Have you ever thought about applying to Region 10 and then letting them place you?  We've gotten music teachers that way before (although music teachers don't last long at our school).  </div>
