    I'm sorry to hear that, Mariah.  Hopefully, something will open up and you can move into the job you were meant for.

    I am in Winston-Salem, NC for my conference.  It smells in the elevator and I don't really want to be here now that I've spent all this money to get here.  I don't think I'm home sick so much as I wish I hadn't come.

    Ugh, Mariah, I have been there so many times in the last year, I totally understand how that feels! At least they let you know. In my experience, most people don't let you know at all, or they'll send a letter weeks or months later.

    yeah, I am really glad she called to let me know.  She didn't have to do that.  And it was encouraging to know that she liked me and that she thought I did a great job in my interview and that I was a top candidate.  But how discouraging is it for them to say, "you just don't have enough experience"??  How am I supposed to get it?  And who's to say some teacher with 5 years experience is going to be better than me?  Seriously?  I just want to prove myself.

    Mariah - Just a random thought but are there any summer music camps or volunteer opportunites you might be able to get involved in?  I'm not sure if that counts as experience, but it just popped into my mind.

    I don't know...but I do know that most things are during the day and would require time off...that I don't have.  I think I have 6 vacation days left and I have to use those wisely.
