$2500 venue budget...is this possible?!

I have about 2500 to spend on ceremony/reception and food...is this even possible? I've been searching and searching...maybe in the wrong places, but I'm starting to think this is not possible. Help? Anyone know or any places or ideas?

hmm, I don't think it's impossible if you have a relatively small guest list, and are willing to do a cake/punch reception, especially on a Friday/Sunday. Unfortunately most venues will run you around $1500 for the rental alone.  Lots of knotties are doing theirs under $5k for under 100 guests, so they can give you some tips.

What kind of food are you trying to do - full dinner, cake only...?  That can make a huge difference.

Are you able to do it on a weekday or in the morning?
Disclaimer: Please excuse the above comment. I'm probably freaking out because there is less than one month to go. Thank you.

A couple I knew had a ceremony and reception with that size guest list recently and they had thier cermony at haggard park at the gazbo its $25 for 6 hours and you could have your reception at a restraunt where you choose from a lunch menu- that way you dont have to rent chairs, tables, or anything like that or  they rented plano station

Here is a video that shows the park and what plano station looks like

There are several restraunts in that area you could ask if they do private parties like urban crust who does corporate parties- they have an ice bar on the third floor which is cool

we are doing ours at the walnut creek country club in mansfield. we are doing the earlier saturday time (1:30-5pm) for up to 60 people, it is a $250 room fee for the reception and a $1500 food min. we had to add a few things to make our min. since we are at just under 50 people right now for a sit down plated dinner. it is a $750 fee to get married there. they have a place for that inside or out.... so your budget it totally doable!!!

I passed this place again this weekend... I think that the deal is awesome.  It's all inclusive and even includes flowers and photography.  It's ideal for about 50 guests.

It's totally possible! We're getting married at Hidden Cove Park in The Colony. The facility is right off of Lake Lewisville, which is awesome if you want a lake wedding. We rented the place for $490 and we have it for 3 hours Friday night and ALL day Saturday. They're even letting us set everything up Fri. night so we have less to worry about the day of the wedding.

    Here's more info:
-$400 to rent the facility for 1 day
-$90 to rent for 3 hours the day before for your rehearsal
-Space for up to 100 people
    -tables and chairs included
    -full kitchen, oversized outdoor grill
-bring your own food and alcohol
    -large fireplace with mantle
    -small patio facing the lake
-on site wedding coordinator you can hire for $25/hr day of wedding

You do have to pay $10/car for your guests the day of the wedding, but they won't charge you when you go up there for planning purposes. Even with that it's cheaper than most places. Our budget was $5000 for 80-100 guests but we're only spending $3000...that includes ceremony, reception, food, alcohol, decorations, etc. There are so many ways to save money and still have your dream wedding!

Message me if you need more ideas on how to save money. :)
