Lighting

Anyone here hire someone for lighting only? 

I found a lot of places do combo packages with video or DJ to help with the price but we already have those vendors and they don't offer lighting.

Since this is a want and not a need we don't want to spend too much on it.  Any thoughts on reasonibly priced vendors for lighting only?

We're getting married at the Old Red if that helps.

We used Beyond as our lighting vendor. Hands down, one of the best areas we spent money on, as it made an amazing difference in our venue. Look a few posts down where I posted our highlight video and you can get a glimpse of what we did. Let me know if you have any questions!

Back to topic... Did they just do the lighting for you?  Everything looked beautiful!

Thank you! Yes, we only used them for our lighting. We had uplights on all of the colums throughout the venue, and they did the paper lanterns too.

Do your vendors (like your DJ) not have any recommendations?  I sponsor our school's prom every year and, if my DJ can't do what I'm looking for, they at least have a recommendation.

He recommended his brother in law since he has entertainment company. 

We were emailing and he told me told me he had done the Old Red before then asked me how many lights I needed (like I would know? you're the professional!).  I emailed back asking how many he used in the past and never heard back. 

I may reach out again but seemed a little sketchy to me he dropped off mid conversation.  I thought vendors wanted our business!
