I'm looking to get my bridemaids robes to get ready in before the ceremony. Any recommendations on where to get them? I'd like to have them monogrammed, but it's not a necessity. I've seen a lot on Etsy & am just not sure where to start.
If you want my honest opinion, I would save the money and skip the robes. First, not everyone enjoys wearing robes. Second, if you gave me a robe, I wouldn't want it monogrammed and would never use it besides your wedding day. Thirdly, even though you see a lot of pics on Pinterest of girls getting ready in matching outfits, are you actually going to purchase a picture of all of you in robes and hang it in your home? Odds are probably no. So again, I don't personally think it is worth it.
If you are still intent on getting them, then I would probably check Etsy. Just find a seller who does them and contact her.

Yep.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14
Another vote against robes. If you insist on doing them, for the love of all that's holy, just buy nice robes and don't get them personalized. I don't know anyone who would actually wear and enjoy a robe with their initial, name, or worse, "Bridesmaid" on it.
I agree with PPs about skipping the robes, but for a different reason. I actually like robes and would use it at home, but I would not ever be okay with having my picture taken in it unless it was full length, which I know most bridesmaid type robes aren't.
Another vote for skip the robes. Anything that is given with the intent of getting you nice, matchy-matchy photos (matching jewelry, hairstyles, robes, etc) should not be considered a gift (or should only be a small part of a larger, more personal gift). That said, IF you decide to do this, I would recommend skipping the monograms. That way, if they don't end up wanting to keep it, they can hand it down to someone else.
There are two black sheep! I bought robes for my girls from The Knot. They were inexpensive and something cute for everyone to wear. I would suggest, if you can find the robes for the right price, adding a little something to them. I'm filling the pockets of my girl's robes with EOS chapstick, little bottles of champagne, lotion and things like that.
I love chapstick, honestly! Haha Instead of robes, I'm thinking about getting my girls hoodies. Same idea. But I feel like a hoodie might get worn a second time. And a hoodie will still be something we can get out hair done in and not have to worry about pulling it over our heads.
