Congrats Brooke! That's so exciting! I'm jealous-been looking for over a year now and I still don't have a new job!

I scheduled my bridals for Tuesday May 24!!!!! I can't believe it's right around the corner! I'm so not ready! On the other hand, I'm about done with BM gifts! Their bags I ordered came in, with BM kits (has bobby pens, advil, stuff like that for quick fix its), sashes, got them Bath n Body, and now all I have to get is a picture frame!

My MOH PMd me on FB last night. Ever since she and her long time BF broke up she has more time for her. She has lost 21 pounds already!! So proud of her! We set the date for my Bach. Party-the Saturday before! She is going to throw me a shower too at the beg of July!  whoo hooo!

On the bad note, I tried on my rehearsal dress...it still fits but IDK about the chest area. It's HUGE! I'm going to have to alter it! Now I'm worried about my wedding dress being too big in the chest area!

Deepthi: Yes, it is going to be an intense couple months for me!  Luckily, my program doesn't require any massive projects - just specific class assignments/testing.

MLandCJ: I think if I had by Bach party the night before my Shower, I'd be useless...

Marksle-Yes, Some times I guet slightly annoyed with FI. But I usually chalk it up  to my moodiness, because he's usually not acting out of the ordinary. I'm sure he feels the same way about me lol.

FI and I start our pre-martial/couples counseling tonight. I'm SO excited. Is that weird?

When FI and I went to one of our counseling sessions at church, we were in a huge fight (over something stupid I can't even remember, but we were both SO irritated). We were barely speaking on the ride there. Then, at the class, which was all about how there will be times you'll be mad at each other, or not as "in love" or whatever, but the point of marriage is that it'll ebb and flow ... we walked out of there with the fight completely, 100% forgotten. I loved all of the sessions, but that one was my favorite (and so timely!). I don't think we've really had any squabbles since, and that was a year ago.

I don't have time to read everyone's SA, but hopefully I will tonight. I have two more hours at work today, then I'm off on vacay! Unfortunately, I have a TON of new stuff that was just given to me. And, I'm such a nerd -- I actually love working on new projects, so it's actually going to be hard for me to leave it half-done.

But, my parents will be here in two hours also! So, that should help me break out of work-mode.

At the risk of being jumped on, I don't understand "Spanish bride" as a criticism of a dress/veil. Maybe I am just missing something, but I don't even know what that means. (from holi's FMIL on OL).

On a positive note (!!!) my mom came up over the weekend and threw me a shower with some of my friends and extended family and it was so nice. I feel completely spoiled and can't believe how generous people are. And my mom made me a purse to use on my wedding day with flowers and teal crystals to match my shoes. It's so special, and I'm so excited. Since my mom and I are far away I've missed out on sharing a lot of the planning with her, so it meant so much for her to put this together and get to share it with her.

When I worked at AA a spanish veil (i'm pretty sure thats what we called it) was the one that goes flat across the head, and is usually a longer veil..but it has usually lace sown on the edges and is scalloped to the inside. Does that make any sense? It's been a few years.  It's just a description.

I didn't really get it either... I assume it had something to do with the tone.  Or just the idea that someone would call one a "Spanish Bride" and mean it as an insult.

So, Chemistry is doing a lab today where they make ice cream.  So the students had to bring ice.  One of the chem teachers has stuffed the Biology freezer so full of ice bags that it won't close.  SHE ALSO took my lunch out of the freezer and just plopped it on the top of the fridge, where it's been sitting thawing for two hours.  Thaaaaanks.

2 weeks and I'll be a graduate looking for a job!! pretty scary all I've ever done is school (I've worked a lot, it's just weird that it's about to shift to work work work and not have to worry about homework)
