Dinner 4 Two Registry

Has anyone heard of this or attended anything from them? I just got a call from them and was wondering if it was some kind of scam or legitimate.  Thanks!!

Re: Dinner 4 Two Registry

  • Never heard of it, but if it is registering for restaurant gifts cards or some other way of registering for cash, I'd avoid it.
  • They are a company who I swear is related to Royal Prestige. I went to a bridal show recently and they started calling. Royal Prestige I helped work for a few years back and they bring you in, cook for you, give you some goodies, and want to sell you their items or have you tell people to buy them for you. I don't recall RP having a registry. They will try to shove sales at you but you can decline. A lot of the times they will offer you a gift card to come or a small vacation package that you just pay taxes on . They in essence want to prove their cookware is better than anything on the market.ONLY thing I learned helping RP long ago was that T-Fal is not healthy for infants to be around (some studies or another about baby birds dying...) but Stainless steel is best. I have been u sing stainless steal for four years now and will never go back. You can find quality in a store!

  • I also recieved multiple calls from Dinner 4 Two after attending a bridal show. After asking around and searching online I heard that they were a scam. I was told I even won a prize but I had to attend a seminar to recieve it. In the end, I stopped taking their calls and forgot about it.
  • I just got a call from a lady who said she was with a company called dinner 4 two. She said my fiance and I won 4 prizes which included champange glasses, wedding bands, chance to enter a drawing and a 3day 2night honeymoon and I have never heard from them before tonight. She said we have to go to a location in the cities to redeem our prize. So is this pretty much a scam?
  • I too won this. They called and said i had won all these things all My fiance and I had to do was to go to a demo of thier cooking products and they would present us with it. We went last week. it took 90 mins they showed us how to cook with there products then we discussed our prizes. They do really try hard to get you to buy the cookware but you do not have to buy it to get the prizes. The prizes for attending were we got a 2 night hotel stay at our choice of 25 locations a few in mexico some in canada orlando las vegas and so on. the nights are through a travel company so the travel company tries really hard to get you to add nights and fly and such. For this you have to pay the taxes and fees plus put down a $100 refundable deposit. id you do not want that option they offer you 2 wedding bands from some company but you have to pay shipping and handeling which is $25 per ring. They also give you two aprons to cook in and a years subscription to passport to vale a coupon website. At the demo they give you a card that you mail with $4.95 for shipping then they mail you back a code and you go online and register then you can print off coupons to grocery stores restaunts travel and movies. The last thing we got was a thing for 2 champaine flutes engraved woth name and date of wedding. you pay $20 shipping for those.so over all i would say it is worth it to attend. You get alot of stuff and you dont have to buy the products. O and fyi the cookware is something like 1500 for 5pc cookware set 2000 for 7pc and 2500 for 10pc. hope this helps!

  • i got a call from them today saying i won but to get the champaine flutes both of us had to come to the cooking thing but my fiance lives out of state and i did not want the rings(i have rings) and we already have a honeymoon planned and both of us don't fly so we are not going to it i did not care that much about the flutes and the lady got nasty on the phone with me she said i know the brides in your area can't have a nice wedding i am one of the few in my area that can have the big dream wedding and she said i will hold the gift for you and call back every time we come back to your area i just will not answer when they call

  • I got a call from dinner 4 two last week telling me I won a prize package of a three night stay in a hotel and set of rings all I had to do was go to a named location to claim my prize. When I went we had to sit through a demo of their cookware and then we got a package with our prizes just as they said. They do try to sell you cookware while you are there but they are not pushy. The only cauch is the shipping on the tungsten rings is $25, but for a set of wedding rings thats no bad. There are over 20 to chose from. I gave the gift card for the rings away because our wedding is in two mounths and we already bought our rings. The tree day stay in a hotel is not a scam either you just have to give them 60 days notice to book. If you are will to sit through a 60min demo for your free iteams its worth it.
  • I went to one. The free honeymoon is not true. I got 2 free wedding bands worth at least 600 and only paid 50 dollars for the shipping. The engraving is 70. I also got a pair of champagne glasses for 19.95. I also got 2 santoku knives for 19.95. I got Free His Her aprons! Then a little dish.

<div>My fiancee and I went to their presentation a few days ago. It is LEGIT. You have to sit through a presentation where they try to sell you their commercial cookware. They make you some food (which is pretty tasty, btw), and I actually did learn some interesting things. I would totally buy their stuff if I had any money at all. </div><div>
</div><div>As far as prizes go, we got a gift card for two matching wedding rings. We're only going to get my fiancee's ring, though, since we have to pay taxes and shipping and handling for it (it's only $25, but he purchased my wedding band as a bridal set with my engagement ring so we don't need it). The other option was an all-inclusive 3 or 4 day stay at a resort in various tropical places (mexico, bahamas...). Again, you'd have to pay taxes and get yourself there, so we decided rings were a better option for us. </div><div>
</div><div>The way they can LEGITIMATELY give away this stuff is because they don't sell in stores. They compete with top of the line, commercial cookware, and they target engaged couples because it's a time when people are investing in their futures. (Thus, all the stuff at wedding shows.) Their cookware is on some cooking TV shows. They sell millions of dollars of product each year, and they spend their marketing budget targeting engaged couples and giving away free stuff. They were COMPLETELY up-front with their business model. The guy even said they give everyone two knives free (except s/h) because they know people will like them and contact them to actually buy cookware. You get hooked on quality. They have great lifetime warranties. This is completely legitimate. </div><div>
</div><div>I am in no way affiliated with them, and I'm a skeptical law student planning a wedding on a strict budget. I'm really looking forward to my fiancee's choice of wedding band! </div><div>

  • ive been to one and there not a scam at all the lady that i talked to on the phone said its free and no obligation and there wasnt we got our gifts and we actually purchased the cookware and were amazed!! its worth going out to! it wont hurt! its fun and you recieve gifts!
  • I got that call and it seemed really scammy to me. Didn't follow up.

  • They were at a bridal show I went to. Then they called and told me I "won" a free meal and hotel stay. Went to the "meal" and it was a rep showing off the awesome cooking skills of these pots and pans, and gave each group of 2 people enough food for a snack for a toddler as our meal, and tried to get us to buy the cookware. I did not, and never did receive my hotel stay voucher in the mail.

  • They are annoying and almost to the stalking point. We received several calls, from several shows we've attended, and I keep telling them no or just not showing up for the appt. Just now at work I received a private number on my cell and ran outside to answer (can't answer at work) thinking it might be important. The woman was so nice and happy sound calming giving the normal speech "... and you WON! wow!" im like yeah yeah lol I said "Sorry but my fiancé and I just bought a house (true story) and we just don't have time for anything like this" and she didn't understand what I meant and she said "No this has nothing to do with your wedding date" I said "no I understand it's like a seminar but someone called before and I also told them no-" and she cut me off and wasn't so happy go luck anymore and said "ok thank you bye" and hung up on me. They just want their sales but that was poor customer service.
