In some ways I wish I would have listened and not registered at Target, but at the same time I love their stuff, I hate BB&B, and I felt Macy's was too expensive. So while we have 2 other small registries at myregistry.com & Williams-Sonoma, most of the stuff is at Target.
I went in today to buy a baby gift off a registry for someone else and printed out one of my own so I could see if I registered for the right color of this blanket I added online a few days ago. I then realized that about 20 items (mostly a line of kitchen utensils) had been discontinued. Of course it didn't show up as discontinued online.
So I ended up having re-registering for a bunch of stuff, and when I checked it online this evening it is a mess. Most of the old discontinued stuff that I deleted in the store is still there (and mixed in with the new stuff, so I have no idea what is what) and there is some other random crap on there too. If I ever deleted anything off the gun in the store, it made it on the registry. I've had to delete some items 3-4 times before it would finally go away. I've had to really keep on top of the dang thing in the past for weeks or it just goes haywire.
So now I'm worried with their crappy registry updating and craptastic return policy we are going to end up with a lot of non-returnable duplicate gifts. I'd be fine with store credit, but they wont even give that. I feel like it is rude to ask guests for the gift receipt, though I may add a note about the confusing kitchen utensil situation online--otherwise people will literally end up in the correct aisle looking for a line that no longer exists.
Anyone else have problems with any of this? Should I add a note about the duplicate items?
