My cousin will be unable to attend our wedding. Initially, she was 100% confidant that she would be coming. But with work requirements and travel expenses (she lives abroad), she decided that kind of last moment, she wont be coming.
On our registry, we put a few very high end items. (crystal, which I personally didn't think would be bought or if so a little by many people) Well my cousin bought all the crystal which is an incredibly large amount of money. I think she may feel a little guilty to have changed her mind late and maybe that's why she went all out.
Question, how do I properly thank her? I don't want to give a "standard" thank you note but at the same time, I don't want to use phrases like, "you went overboard." Don't really have any experience in this so any help is greatly appreciated.
