I'm under the impression that announcing your registry within the invitation may be inappropriate, but how do you suggest getting the word out if you don't have an actual wedding party? Our wedding is going to be pretty informal--no bridesmaids, etc. Our immediate families & close friends are scattered around the country, and my mother will not be attending the wedding. This makes the only word-of-mouth aspect of the wedding planning very difficult for us. How should we approach this?
