How's the wedding planning going? Any blips or bumps in the road? Have just started with the planning.  We have decided we want something small and something that hearkens back to ancient ways of doing things.  I know what color dress I wish to wear, and the basic styling of the wedding party.  We know we wish to do a destination wedding in Colorado or Maine with a big ol party / bbq for all our friends once we get home.  Beyond that, nothing is yet set in stone.

Next major project to tackle?  Deciding on a guest list.

How's the wedding planning going? Any blips or bumps in the road? S Initially we were supposed to be married Sept 29 of 2012.  We called it off because we could not afford the wedding for one (I've never had one, its my dream lol) and #2 I wasn't sure I was ready. So far things have gone much smoother, and I'm GEEKED I'm going to be a June bride

Next major project to tackle?  Choosing a cake and picking menu for reception

Family wants in on all business, not to pay for it just to give us suggestions, We have everything set, so we are happy as clams telling them, took care of that, thanks for the suggestion though. We have even sent out our Save the Dates!


Next major project to tackle?  need to find someone to alter my dress and buy dresses for his daughter (10). Finalize menu and cake.

How's the wedding planning going? Any blips or bumps in the road? We are just starting out the planning but both our leases expire this summer so we have to shove a move into the middle of planning (and saving) for the wedding. We are combining households so that will make it easier after that but moving is not cheap.

Next major project to tackle?  Choosing a venue. On a shoestring budget we have to find a place that can accomodate a one room reception/ceremony. Since we are going for casually elegant and the wedding, for us, is about celebrating with our families the promises we are making to each other it works for us. Still have to find one though.

He had a actual wedding while I went to the justice of the peace (I regret that) Although, my first time around we planned and then I called it off I didn't realize how much a wedding actually cost. When my FI told me I thought "Yea right" then I started seeing it for myself then I became overwhelmed but because he's very much involved he makes it less stressful and fun.  
Next major project to tackle?  Choosing a vendor. We're heading out to look at one tomrrow with OUR kids.

I wanted to elope and just have the 2 of us there, he wanted a wedding since this is his first. So we're compromising and doing a small ceremony/party with just family and very close friends. Now just to decide on NC where we live or NY where we're both from and our families still live...ha ha

Next major project to tackle?  Picking a date and theme/colors- mainly everything since we're just starting our planning!

How long between first date and wedding date? Around 1 year and 4 months. We have known each other for about 4-5 years though.

How's the wedding planning going? Any blips or bumps in the road? We really just started getting into actually planning of the event. Going good so far. The biggest deal we have encountered was telling our families (mainly his kids). The second issue would have to be the fact we both travel for work hence the reason we just starting planning. So being together long enough to want to spend time on the event was a challenge too.

Next major project to tackle?  Lets see...Getting the Maids of Honor (yes, there are two) and the suits for the guys squared away. Everyone is scattered across the USA...yeah for email and texting!

We haven't really started yet, but I see trouble brewing already. He is Catholic and wants a big church wedding, and I just don't feel comfortable with that. Right now we are just focusing on our move and job search.

Next major project to tackle: Me moving to Dallas. FI moved to Dallas (staying with his parents right now) right after we got engaged to start his new job. I am following him in August. Hopefully, we will have a place to live.

I am Sherry A Second time bride to be and the first time planning a formal wedding. My fiancé and I have know each other for 8 years, but have been together as a couple for about 5 months. We are getting married April26,2014, @ Scarborough Fair in Waxahachie,Texas, Our Colors are red, black and silver, his ring is custom made, the dress I have picked out is Quincernera   dress  in red. The invitations we have picked out is a castle and favors, are red, and silver Hersheys in a black drawstring bag. The menu at Scarborough Fair is Turkey Legs, BBQ Sandwiches, Corn On The Cob and Fresh Fruit Salad. I have not picked out the bridesmaid outfit, flowers, cake or the grooms outfit yet. I don't know about flower ideas. I would like to incorporate something with high heel shoes in. It was nice meeting everybody, and any ideas I am open to. Thank you Sherry Parker here

How's the wedding planning going? Any blips or bumps in the road? So far, so good. We are going half casual half formal. Both of us feel that our first marriage(s) were those that were more endured and we feel this is special so we want the special look to have the pictures and the memories but we're doing it at a local legion. A friend is marrying us and we're having a buffet dinner with a band after. It's formal with a twist. My "mother" (my best friends mom who is Nana to my daughter since my mom passed away 6 years ago) is walking me down as is my daughter who is going to carry the rings in a flower girl basket We're only inviting some close friends and family but it's going to be a party!

Next major project to tackle?  Cake and flowers. I've designed the invitations as well and those need to get printed but we're chugging along.

Any blips or bumps in the road?I had planned on one place but we have been working so much on our home that we moved it to our backyard, now I am questioning if the yard will work. Life has kind of taken over and the wedding has been pushed as a topic that we talk about but I don't see us doing much about it. I am wondering if a JP office is where it takes place.

Next major project to tackle?  LOL Who knows! Maybe the backyard actual location can be worked on.

I still had my ex's last name and I will become a SAHM and need to be added to his health insurance so that is why we chose to do a civil ceremony now and reception later. Since this is his first marriage, he still very much wants his big day. And who am I kidding...I'm excited to have another celebration as well! 

Next major project to tackle? Trying to get our vendors secured now because once baby is born in October, I know I will be a bit busy. We at least have our reception venue secured.
