Saturday?

Am I all alone?

H is still sleeping, but once he gets up we're going to take Copper over to my Aunt's house to play with a puppy we're thinking about bringing home.

I've been up for a couople of hours and mopped all our floors. I feel accomplished.

Re: Saturday?

  • Your not alone, I'm at work and feeling a bit better today even if I do sound more like a man than myself lol. I just found the seating chart feature on TK so I've been playing with that to stop my boredom. It's working so far

  • I'm working today and contemplating when to make my great escape. Next week I won't have a day off so I could use an extra couple hours to get stuff done.

  • I'm getting ready to go to a gender reveal party where the parents already know the sex... I kinda think that's weird but they're good friends so whatever.

And at 5 I have an appointment for my final fitting with Becky! Wheeeee!!!!

And I guess FI is still alive during Bachelor weekend....
  • I'm here! Not sure at all what we are doing this weekend, but I know mopping and vaccuuming every floor in the house is in my future. I want that feeling of accomplishment you have, Crash!
  • I'm here!  A lot on the plate for today.  We got up and went to the BBB Registry Event this morning and got 20% off everything in the store, so that was pretty awesome.  Headed to Addison and bought a German Chocolate cake for Dad's Day tomorrow, and then I'm off to a meeting at 2:00 PM.  After that it's back home to working on cleaning up this shiiiithole.

</div><div>No -- we are far too broke to finish it, lol.  We didn't get much cash or gift cards for our wedding, which is perfectly fine -- just didn't leave us much room to finish up what we needed (and almost everything on our list was stuff we did need).  We still have a couple things at Pottery Barn that we need to buy for an organizational setup as well.  There's a vacuum I still need from BBB but I can buy that anytime with a 20% off coupon so we just decided to wait.  We did get a lot of cool stuff, though!  I think for Pottery Barn we have six months to buy stuff with an additional 10% off.</div><div>

  • Fiance and I are attempting to finish painting our living room. It's..been interesting so far.

  • FI is away at a friend's bachelor party so I finally have the apartment to myself.  I have cleaned, done laundry, and worked out.  Now I am addressing invitations, and I never want to write the words Mr. and Mrs. again.
  • Smurfie- pictures? lol

Kayla- that's why we printed all of our invitations from the computer. They still looked sweet and professional which was perfect!

Rose - No, it's just a lunch/cookout thrown by the parents, and then during the dessert you find out the sex. Here's a thread I started about it a few days ago.

  • Finally home from work and way too tired to anything at this point. I did the burlap fabric today that I ordered online. I have a couple DIY projects I will start eventually. The price was too good to pass up.

  • We bought four pieces of furniture from Ikea back in February and didn't try to put it together until today.  Well, we did very well with the two DVD towers (although there aren't nearly enough shelves for them), but the dresser for the bedroom for some extra storage and also to settle the DVD player and cable box fell apart as we tried to move it into the bedroom.  I'm pretty disappointed.  So, now we're going to go to Ashley or Haverty's and buy a new dresser and I'll have to wait for it to be delivered which means we can't really finish up the bedroom this weekend.

<div>Well, it finally  turned out ok..let me just say this-our mantle at one point was red and our kitchen was orange. It took 13 hrs to paint the mantle red, the walls a very pretty neutral color and the kitched taupe. Lol. I can't move today.</div>
  • Julie -- We bought a TV stand from Walmart and this thing is beautiful.  It has held up so, so well, looks like real wood throughout the entire until but it truly has a real wood top.  The thing is heavy and sturdy, and most people who have seen it thought it was from Havertys.  I wonder if they have anything else in this same line that might work for what you need?

I've also had great luck with a few items from Target as well in one of their higher-end lines.  Every time I go into Ashley I feel like I'm getting sold stuff by a used-car salesman. :-/  Havertys is great, though.
