Oh! and my mom and aunts planned my shower and bachelorette party on their not because i asked or demanded them to do so! Thats what happens when you have family who love you they do nice things for you! So do not put words in my mouth girls thanks!

FI, for instance, has to put in for time off 6-12 months ahead of time, and really doesn't get confirmation that he ACTUALLY gets that time off until a month or two beforehand, if that... so it is hard to schedule getaways sometimes without running into other plans that have been made. It's not like your MOH is missing your wedding, in which case, yeah, I'd be a little put off.

It takes a  lot of coordination to plan a vacation for my family and get all the time off that is needed.  We have taken vacations when we really ddn't want to, just because it was then or not at all.

As far as the stress and not getting any help, where is your FI?  He is the one to be helping you will all the stressful things, not MOH.

Be thrilled for her that she gets a vacation and that she is cutting it short a day to be at your wedding.  Should she really shorten her entire family's vacation to be at dinner?  No.
