Wedding Dress shopping!! Where did you get yours??

I am shopping this weekend (very preliminary) for a dress!! I'm going to Ocones and Bridal Bliss (both in Ft. Worth).  Do you have any feedback on either of these?

Also, where did you get your dresses?  What designer did you pick?

Attach pics too!!

Thanks so much for all of your help so far ladies!

I ordered mine from Terry Costa off Preston. It's a Mori Lee dress and as soon as it comes in I'll be sure to share pictures ;)

I pretty much went to every bridal shop in the area EXCEPT the ones in FW. As far as selection and quality goes, my favorites were Lulu's and Mockingbird Bridal. I didn't really care for the service provided at Mockingbird Bridal, and ended up getting my dress at Lulu's.
    It's Casablanca 1971

Mine is a Christos (kind of ironic because the Christos fashion show is playing on my Knot TV right now) from Stanley Korshak.  I got it during a sample sale.

Emi, don't worry I'm not planning on it!  I'm probably not going to keep it though.  I need to do some research and look for Cinderella Project type organizations for weddings.

LOVED Bliss Bridal!! I got my dress there and we are going to get my bridesmaids fitted next week for their dresses.

After all of the rude people and chain store madness I encountered, Bliss was a breath of fresh air. I loved being the only bride in the store and the attention I got from Wendy, the owner. I was kind of worried about being priced out because they do have a lot of dresses that are thousands of dollars, but they were able to show me a large selection for $1000 or less.

My dress is Francesca by Wtoo and I absolutely love it. I thought the "wow moment" was made up by the bridal industry, but got it when I tried the dress on.

I would send every bride I meet there if I could. No complaints at all.

I got mine at Cirle Park Bridal.  It was a great experience - and I went to every bridal shop in Dallas.  In the end, I fell in love with this dress.

Alfred Angelo, Garland.  I love the style of AA dresses and didn't plan to go anywhere else but I sort of wish I would have looked around more.  I see everyone's dresses and just drool.  Mine was a silk Piccone.  I really don't have any good shots of me wearing it from the wedding though, ironically.

Side note - I think it's so funny being called BSN (I know that's my name on here)... it's my initials... it always looks like B.S.'n  (like bull-*&#-in)!!

I don't mind at all that you all call me that, since that's my name on here!  My name is Brianna though, just in case!  :)

I got mine at David's Bridal in Mesquite. Going there was pretty much my only option because my budget was so tight. But I still absolutely loved my gown. Just like Stephie, I never actually got a good picture of me in my dress at the wedding.

I got mine at David's Bridal in Frisco.  I had a great experience there and don't get all the horror stories!

ETA:  It was the only store I went to and I think it was the 8th one I tried on.

I went to both Ocone's and Bridal Bliss, and I have to say that I did NOT like my experience at Bridal Bliss.  Their dresses were beautiful, and I did like the personal attention from the consultant, but she was so RUDE to my family.  She really was not listening to them at all, and it was just my mom and my sister so it's not like I had a huge posse.  They would say something like, "oh, we would love to see her in this dress" and they would point one out, and she said, "we have a process we do here, she may not get to that one."  Just really really rude.

But I loved my experience at Ocone's, where I ended up buying my dress.  They were always so nice, and I talked with several people throughout the trying on, buying, and alterations.  The alterations woman was really awesome, and I loved Mrs. Ocone, so funny!  I also liked the fact that I bought my dress at a business that had been around for so long.
