I got mine at LuLu's   Casablanca 1985  - if you go to LuLu's  go on a Sunday  - I had a great experience on a Sunday  but when I went back on a Saturday for bridesmaid dresses,  the customer service was horrible and they were rude.   But I loved my experience when I bought my dress....
    Good luck!

bsn1752  - Thanks. It's a Simone Carvalli.  I fell in love with it when I saw it and knew it was "the one" once I had it on (I did try on almost 100 dresses by this point).  Bridal Bliss was hosting a Simone Carvalli trunk show when I went so it was great too because I got a discount on the dress.

I got mine at Demetrios in Frisco.  I had only been to two David's Bridals, but I saw Demetrios on the way back home after going to DB, and I figured it was worth a try.  I was in a bit of sticker shock when I got in there and flipped through the catalogs, but the saleslady had me try on several dresses and the one I liked best was in my price range, so that made me ecstatic.  I can't say enough nice things about the saleslady there.  I was shopping more or less by myself, because I had recently moved here and had very few friends, and she made me feel welcome and comfortable every time I went into the store.

I got my Mori Lee from Mii's.  You can click on my bio to see some pictures of me in the dress.

Fortunately, I am a sample size, so I picked mine up for a steal at Anonomously Yours in Garland. It was a gown which retailed at over $3000 and I paid less than $800. Cannot remember the exact price because I also picked a veil and crinoline.

The deal with AY is that they consign only high end gowns which are a style sold no more than a couple of years before.  In addition to those, they have never been worn sample gowns, mostly in a size 10.

So, I would suggest AY to anyone. If you are a street size 6-8, then it is paradise.

I got mine at Anonymously Yours as well.  I am also a sample size 10, which they have tons of.  Becky told me my dress was probably $1200ish originally and I got it for just over $300.  She couldn't believe that I found it there for that price.

I went to Lasting Bridal Couture in Addison. Great experience, I loved my sales girl. She was so patient with me, it was my first time to try any dresses on. I went to many store in Dallas but ended up with the first dress I tried on! The experience definitly helped me make my decision. It's a San Patrick- I am making some changes to the top (taking the crumb catcher off so it's all lace- that's why I'm covering the top).

I am a three dress bride...YES, THREE DRESSES!  I bought the first dress from Alfred Angelo and then decided I didn't not want to go the ball gown route and bought a second dress that had a tiny bit of green on it.  Well, I couldn't get past the green.  Luckily, my sister liked that one and bought it from me for her upcoming wedding.  My third and final dress was my best friend's reception dress and I love it!  Now if I could just get this ball gown sold!

I got my dress at A Bridal Closet in Willow Bend Mall.  It's the outlet store for Stardust Celebrations and Lulu's and they sell off the rack.

My gown is a Maggie Sottero sample and it was only $399!  I was prepared to pay twice that much, but was pleasantly surprised.

I don't live in Dallas/Ft.Worth, but I travel there a lot for medical reasons. I ended up buying my Christos gown at Stanley Korshak. I only have good things to say about them. The service was awesome.

@ SoonToBeMrsHoz I looove that dress, i've been eyeing it and a Mori Lee that's similar. How long ago did you order it? I probably won't be able to look until September when my mommy comes to visit as she is buying it.
